Just sent the folowing e-mail to Fox and Friends

Dear E. D. & Brian,

I was the guy behind you this morning with the sign (between 7:30 & 8:00). It was pointed out to me that by waving the sign, I might have been upstaging E. D. (i.e. distracting the viewers). I can't believe that anyone would ever look beyond E. D. despite what was going on behind her.

You guys are Great! That includes, Kiren, Juliet, Julian, Mike, the Judge and your news crew. While I will be back, I will try not to be too much of a distraction.

I am not affiliated with any group, but I have been tracking the Kerry Vietnam controversy. The mainsteam media is burrying this story. I don't know who is more correct. But in monitoring their website (SwiftVets.com), I can tell you that the Swiftvets appear to be honest and thoughtful. Are they angry? You bet. They have been maligned by John Kerry while many of them were still fighting and they continue to be maligned by his minions today. Kerry called them rapists, baby killers and war criminals.

Our country is now at war. Can you imagine what our enemies will say, in light of Abu Graib, if we elect a president who is on the record as having called our service people rapists, baby killers and war criminals?

If you get a chance, visit their website and look at the dialogue streams. Then compare these to the dialogue at Moveon.org and the DU site. While you will see some over the top rhetoric, you will not find the vitriol or trash (comparing W to Hitler) that appears on the other sites. Michael Moore is a documentarian but John O'Neil is a lying political hack?? Let's get real.

John Kerry made his Vietnam service (4 months was not a tour of duty, unless you were evaced or brought out in a body bag) an issue and is wrapping himself in the medals that he originally said he threw back.

Quite frankly he lied then and he continues to lie now. The image of President Nixon while in Cambodia at Christmas 1968 is seared...seared in his mind? Wrong!

I urge you to read Unfit to Command (available at B & N on 5th Ave.) and you will see the seriousness of the charges being brought by his fellow Swift Boat commanders.


I don't believe these men are dishonest or dishonorable. But if these charges are true John Kerry is.

We owe these vets the right to be heard. John Kerry has the right to rebut these charges and all he has to do is release all of his military and medical records by signing Form 180. The news media insisted that President Bush do so and he did. Mr. Kerry promised Tim Russet on natrional TV that he would and to date refuses. Don't you think it odd that the NYT, the WaPo and others have not insisted that Mr. Kerry follow through?

Fox, especially Brit Hume are the only major media outlet pursuing this and for that you should be commended.

In these times the American people have the right, no the need, to know the truth.

I will be watching you at home tomorrow but hope to see you on Thursday.

Hopeful - Excellent letter!
The fact that you took such action says great things about your character. If just ONE of the millions of viewers does a double take and says "Hey, what's that guy going on about?" and decides to do a little digging, you have initiated a sequence of events that could lead to one more convert. You made a difference.
