Hope this isn't repetitious. Instapundit just found a web page from some of the folks on the Gridley, and apparently they're not very impressed with Mr. Kerry either:

Kerry defines patriotism as “keeping faith with those who wear the uniform of this country. He also brags that he “defended this country as a young man”. If Missouri is the show me state, Veterans are the show me voters – we are not much for words, deeds are our stock in trade. Lets look at Kerry’s deeds.

J.F. Kelley is too generous to kerry in my honest opinion.

Seems more and more to be that the veterans (& active military) themselves are the "unknown factor" here -- will they support their Navy brothers who are unflinchingly and tenaciously leading the charge in this mission to ship JK out to sea (to France??)

-- I want the Vietnam Swiftees to get the entire JUSTICE due them and want them to bring down this man that stripped them, and thousands upon thousands of soldiers, of their honor (and our nation of her self-respect -- and instilled in us a suspicion of gov't that exists to this day). I want that to happen deep down in my bones..

But this is also about the honor of all American soldiers - past & present --(not about Bush - geez) If the soldiers come out in force on the gathering on 9/12, and if they can impact their disgust with Kerry and scream for him to STEP DOWN - THOUSANDS of soldiers -- then what will the MSM do? What could Kerry do? Launch a negative campaign against the entire United States military?? (maybe moveon could handle that in their rapid response groups....)

Those of us who are not vets or military personnel have our supporting roles to play, but America is AT WAR, and it is the soldiers themselves who will be most directly impacted in the years to come by who is leading them -- they have the power at this time to let America know if they want Kerry to be their Commander-in-Chief. It is for them to decide if Mr Kerry represents them - if they can hold him up to their children and say, "look, here's a great and honorable man -- America's #1 soldier! Her Commander-in-Chief."
