I just saw that the new threat is against V.A. facilities. Is this a coincidence that the Vets are defeating Kerry? Why would the Veteran's be a target for terror? Is Kerry involved with them? Or is the democratic party involved to intimidate or scare the Vets? Legitamate questions I would say. I just think that it is to coincidental since the Vets are rising up against Kerry, then now the Vets are a terrorist target. Maybe the terrorists are just trying to help their buddy Kerry. Either way it stinks with treason once again. Semper Fi.

Conspiracy theories.................................................................. None of which would surprise me anymore. I wouldn't put it past them, not sure I'm anxious to think this way just yet.

Any vet that could be intimidated into changing his vote from Bush to Kerry would have to be one shrinking violet. A more likely scenario is less support for Kerry.

I look at it this way. We may have a rough road ahead if Bush gets elected and the socialists/communists decide to get seriously violent. We will have a much, much, much, rougher road ahead if Kerry is elected.

Personally I don't think it is just a theory, we all know who Bin Ladin wants to win this election. We are now a logical target for the terrorists, if we are not silenced Kerry is doomed. The terrorists want Bush out so they go after us to help Kerry and their own cause. I wouldn't put it past Kerry to be orchestrating this but it is more probable that the terrorists just want to do what they can to get rid of Bush. I think it is help that Kerry didn't ask for but will not denounce. Semper Fi.

Marine4life,

Don't mistake my previous post for anything less than me agreeing with you. It's just like I said.... I'm not anxious to think that way. I think Kerry would do anything to win this election and I wouldn't put anything past him. Again.... I'm not anxious to think that way - unfortunately not thinking it doesn't make it not happen. Sad I really pitty the fool that messes with our vets.

I think the theory of Bin laden or some other terrorist group would do
just that could be correct, just put out a warning on the vets.
They follow the news about this election I am sure as they won in Spain
did they not?
Why not get us all upset thinking Kerry was doing it? It causes even
more tension and fear for vets and maybe they will stop trying to make
Kerry face the truth about himself. Twisted Evil

I can see it now.......... more WWII and Korean War Vets blaming this all on Bush. (sigh) I'm so used to hearing how everything is his fault. AND to any who are WWII or KW vets please don't take my comments personally. They are based on a family member who is also the above and is totally ABB'r.

This is just too odd... I've avoided listening to the story because I'm still trying to deal with the headline! Aside from the smaller strikes to test us and build up a following for himself, bin laden seems bent on spectacular destruction, to strike fear, to kill, and most importantly to him (it seems) to destroy our economy - to create financial ruin, thereby confusing and weakening us enough, they think, so they can walk right in here and finish us off. So, either the vets have been stashing vast amounts of cash making them a primary target, or this is someone else's plot for some other reason... something "home-grown?"

Or maybe the FBI is being duped -- maybe a fabricator has created some false documents -- one has to think, now, let's see, to whom are the US veterans a threat to right now?

No -- no conspiracies for me -- that's just going too deep into the dark, way, way too deep into the hole even for JK, right?

Take it from a spook. This is recon only. A way to test our rediness and to get us jumpy. The real attack will come at a soft target quite a distance and by a means we are not prepaired for. Civialian Air is out (for now) because we are watching so closely. Suicide bombers seem to be effective elsewhere, so that is one possibility. Truck bombs destroyed many targets for them, so a semi-tractor trailer is also a possibility. Imagine,if you will, a semi leaving San Diego and releasing a toxic bio agent as it moves. Now follow that truck through all the major cities across the US to Boston. Incubation period for the bio agent is 7 days, and the entire trip would be finished before then. First indication would be in San Diego and by then the truck is abandoned in New England. It would not be until a pattern was noticed that the search would be on, and the perps would be long gone back to the Middle East.

OBL stated he "knew our weaknesses" , could this be one?

Your scenario works, of course. And that could be a follow-on surprise to a big strike (gotta keep making those videos for the flock, y'know, gotta feed the machine...). I spent many months after 9/11 with a machine translator reading what I could on a particular site I found, to see what they were talking about for myself -- until it all started to sound like the same song and nothing new was coming out -- and the graphics at the site got bloodier and nastier and then all of a sudden the graphics disappeared, and then one day the group became "private" and you could no longer get in --

But their plan seemed to always come back to striking around the world as much as possible to keep us spinning in all directions -- like a matador with a bull (would that be an Arabic metaphor?).... and to wear down & frighten our allies so they would break away ... to isolate us, and then to "burst out upon us from the inside."

I don't know -- I suppose they have all kinds of plans, the above seemed to come up time and again -- maybe that's what they wanted people to think... I think the UBL mafia also needs big events for the theater of it all to keep their minions interested -- I do not think we are immune or safe from widespread chaos either -- popping off a few suicide attacks in a number of cities would put us in a tailspin, homeland security or not. (Look what we went thru with the 2 sniper guys...) Still, with all the possible things to threaten -- and I'd even buy a threat at Yellowstone or Small Town U.S.A. --BUT, I'm not convinced that a Veterans facility would be a target... How would they measure our "readiness?" Someone on the inside??

There's a way to circumvent conspiracies. Why, let trasitors drag us into something we don't want and at our expense? My preferred response is called a Three Rivers Heritage Lesson. We let em know we'll be glad to meet em on the Hudson River for New York and the north, on the Suwannee River for Florida and the south and on the Colorado River for California and the west. We can make pamphlets and bomb our major cities with them inviting cowardly traitors to put up or get out , we tell them the historical sites we selected and invite them to set a date for their trips to hell there. Citing reports of "suspicious activity" at VA hospitals in Colorado and Bethesda, Maryland

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1896&e=4&u=/nm/security_hospitals_dc

it's probably just the private investegators for both sides trying to scope out the undecided vet vote.

If both sides are scoping out the undecided Veteran vote that would be cool, but your theory doesn't stand. If that were true then one side who controls the Homeland Security Department would know that obviously because they would be involved. It is an intimidation threat as far as I can see, try to scare the Vets. But we haven't ran from war before and they are a fool if they think we will now. Besides if the democrats were campaigning for votes at the facilities and that is what the issues were they would be all over Bush and dogging him for being paranoid. So that is why I feel that your conclusion is wrong on this one. With the SBVT issue dogging them they couldn't afford having one of their pollsters being responsible for elevating the terror threat. And likewise the Republicans would not have allowed it to go that far if they were the ones polling. Semper Fi.
