I saw a unit report. There was one other man in the unit....not ON his boat, but in the unit, that received 3 purple hearts, but I seriously doubt that was in a 4 month period.

An interesting fact is he was awarded 2 of his PH, his B&S with a time period from Feb. 20 and Mar 13. That seems pretty incredible to me and he was never hospitalized or anything. He continued in his duties.

azlusa,
Do you think Kerry did an amazing tour of duty? Rolling Eyes
Or do you think Kerry was looking for ways to get home early? Laughing

John O'Neill made a brilliant comment on the Jim Bohannon Show. How many people could/would use a three-month job that occurred 35 years ago to apply for a job today? Shocked

Did anyone else hear John's interview with Bohannon?

Ollie North got two purple hearts. Then turned down 3 more because he did not want to be sent home. Thats true guts.

How many medals did Bob Dole and George H. W. Bush win in WWII?

They are genuine war heroes. Quick, what medals did they win?

You don't know, do you? Rush Limbaugh does because he checked.

Why did he have to check? Because nobody knows off hand.

Yet EVERYBODY knows what medals John Kerry got because KERRY REMINDS EVERYBODY EVERY 5 DAMN MINUTES.

Somehow, Bob Dole and George Bush Sr. managed to run for President and not remind everybody what medals they won.

Amazing!

I have heard of some other stories like that. It does make you think about how much they did believe in their comrads and their duty. I dont see this in Kerry. I see him as wanting a pat on the back and my relatives that did fight this war are nothing like that.

Is it true that if you get more than 2 PH's you have to go back home?

I was under the impression that it was a soldiers choice.

You had that choice, and of course superiors could use that as a means to send someone home early too I would suppose.

This thread lines up with what my father has always said. You could always tell the real guys who put in real time from the loud mouth blow hards who come in talking about what a hero they are. kerry is that loud mouth blow hard, who based on what my Dad said, typically got their arse kicked shortly after when the REAL heros got sick of listening to the slop be tossed around by the idiot wanting to impress everyone. When you're a REAL veteran and war hero, you don't have to announce it every few minutes. Like Former President Bush and Senator Dole proved. When you are a real war hero, it speaks for itself. You only have to brag on it yourself when you know secretly that in reality, there is nothing to brag about.

Admin note:

The topic of this forum is our conviction that John Kerry is unfit to serve as Commander-in-Chief.

If you have comments or observations relating to that conviction, please feel free to respond.

If you can only frame your Kerry defense by bashing another candidate, you've come to the wrong forum.

Thank you
