I trust most people like Steve Gardner who says what he "SAW" and remembers or maybe even better what he saw and wrote down. I heard Steve say more than once in interviews "I don't know about that, I've got this paper and it is wrong and I Know what happened cause I saw it happen". I got a feeling of truth about rood's article also. Hurley shouldn't even be allowed to be on these shows, he saw absolutely nothing. When he gets on the shows thats what he should be asked "What did you SEE?" To clarify the public needs more eyewitnesses from the boat crews. Both those supporting Kerry and those supporting his detractors. I was in Nam in combat and when I try to recall specifics I can only be amazed that these guys remember any of this.

I don't fault anyones attempt at recollection.
Eyewitnesses to an event differ even over 1 days time.

Forget for a moment the details, read the book "Unfit for Command "
which really hasn't been contradicted.
Its the whole picture. The deliberate embellishment of after action
reports to obtain medals. The conduct that is "Unfit for Command".

The sellout of his "band of brothers" while they were still really fighting.
