Are you tired of hearing that the swiftees memories are lost in the fog of war but Kerry's memories are to be trusted because they are seared into him.

The only fog is the fog that the media (and sadly fox is included at times) adds to the debate.

They fog it up with scurrilous reports of allegations and accusations that the Bush campaign is controlling SBVFT.

They fog it up by allowing interviews to digress into investigative immunity that benefits Kerry.

They fog it up when pro-Kerry guests get away with saying that the country has more important issues to deal with when at the same time their candidate John Kerry is making juvenile challenges to bush to debate "our service" in Vietnam.

They fog it up by implying that the truth, which the swiftees so much want to be revealed, is something that cannot add much to the political dialog of today. Those who wish to articulate the truth instead of speculate about it are viewed suspiciously for truth to them is never the goal and seldom the means to a goal.

They fog it up by grossly stereotyping those who wish to expose the truth as those who would hide their real intentions--calling them everything from dupes to partisans to foggy old war vets.

The swiftees are really a lighthouse that exists amidst this great fog that has settled across our country. A fog that has been created by the media to hide and protect those who seek power for the worst possible reason-to serve themselves. For me it is sad to see so many people so lost and jaded by years in this fog such that they would wish to extinguish the light without seeing its beauty, redemption and really the salvation this country needs.

Yeah, right. That's a very convenient "out" that TV hosts try to use. As if the SwiftVets don't remember something that may be seared, seared into their memories. John Kerry had a plan before he ever set one little white little elitist footsie in Nam. He grew to love his initials "JFK" and set about making up his own history as he went along. He wrote glowing, heroic repords about his deeds and got them entered into the official Navy records knowing full well that his superior officers weren't at the scene to dispute the after action reports. He kept his own crew in the dark but other swift boat commanders knew back then he was a problem and had a separate agenda. No, it's not he fog of war. It's the lust of blind ambition.
