Has anyone asked the question For 20 years in the Senate what has Kerry done for the Veterans? The answer is nothing. The only thing he did was give Vietnam Veterans a bad name with his lies.
He acts like he was the only one in Vietnam and just the sight of him makes me sick.

Hey Army Spouse!! Got this LTTE into the local paper. Enjoy. Stu

As Vietnam Veterans we are supposed to be John Kerry’s "Band of Brothers." Let’s just see what our War Hero senator has legislatively done for his “brothers” over the years.

His first six years in the Senate he managed to propose a staggering total of three veterans’ related bills. These were S1033, S1510 and S2128. None saw the light of day and were killed deader than doornails. But, he did propose an amendment to S2884. It croaked too.

The next twelve full years of frenetic, pro-vet activity yielded a grand total of ZERO veterans’ bills. ZERO.
As his career capstone, in the 108th Congress, leveraging two full decades of seniority, and concurrently deciding to run for the Presidency, Kerry sponsored a record tying one veterans’ related bill, S1112. It, shockingly, got hurled just like the others.

But, to plus up our national security and balance out his already robust defense portfolio, he proposed a 1995 bill gutting $1.5 billion from the intelligence budget. No co-sponsors, not one, not even Kennedy, signed on to the bill and it never made it to the Senate floor. The previous year, Kerry proposed a bill to slash another $1 billion from the National Foreign Intelligence Program and from Tactical Intelligence, and freezing their budgets. That bill, surprise, surprise, went right to the dumper too.

Toss in some 16 odd votes against military pay hikes. Is the word “ineffectual” appropriate?

We will soon be insulted by the sight of Kerry on stage at his convention surrounded by admiring vets. One is left to wonder if they will have more plausibility than the fake vets he represented before Congress in 1971. Somehow, I doubt it.

Nice post. I never have nor ever will trust a politictian.

A man is as good as his word and the way in wich he presents it. Kerry presents a flip flop lying story.

I am a former jarhead on a web page with the squids that always helped us out when our sealegs didnt work so well. In other words............God bless you guys and Semper Fi. I was a young child during tha twar but someday will have this same thing with Beruit.

I would like to give credit to Chief Warrant Officer Ernie Bowers (ret.)
For the following informantion.

Senator John Kerry Voting record on MILITARY & NATIONAL SECURITY

Voted for 7 major reductions in military funding Voted against Gulf War I (1991).
Voted for Gulf War II (but then criticized and voted against military appropriation for troops).
Voted against MX missile.
Voted against Trident Submarine.
Voted against SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative "Star Wars").
Favored UN control of US Troops (in the 1970s).
Supported Slashing $2.6 Billion from Intelligence Funding While Serving as a Member of Senate Intel Committee.
Voted to kill the Bradley Fighting Vehicle
Voted to kill the M-1 Abrams Tank
Voted to kill every Aircraft carrier laid down from 1988 onward
Voted to kill the Aegis anti aircraft system
Voted to kill the F-15 Strike Eagle
Voted to kill the F-16 E/F (Block 60)
Voted to kill the P-3 Orion upgrade
Voted to kill the B-1
Voted to kill the B-2
Voted to kill the Patriot anti-missile system
Voted to kill the FA-18
Voted to kill the F117
He voted to Kill every military appropriation for the development and deployment of every weapons system since 1988, including a bill for battle armor for our troops. It is most likely, with Sen. John Kerry as President and Commander in Chief of our Armed Services, that they will cease to function as effectively-- making it most difficult for our country to protect itself .
John Kerry voted to Kill all anti-terrorism activities of many key agencies of the U.S. Government:
He voted to Cut the funding of the FBI by 60%.
He voted to Cut the funding for the CIA by 80%.
He voted to Cut the funding for the NSA by 80%.

THEN,
and this should be abhorrent to almost every American Voter (whether Democrat, Republican or Independent), he voted to increase OUR funding for

U.N operations by 800% !!

The answer is simple......Nothing!

Moderator Note:

This forum was designed to facilitate the discussion of the Swift Boat Veterans For Truth strong conviction that John Kerry is unfit to serve as Commander-In-Chief.

If your defense of John Kerry can only be couched in rhetoric denigrating the fitness of another candidate, then we suggest that you find another venue for that expression.

Thank you,
