A letter someone wrote to McCain.

Subject:
Swift Boat Issue

To:
Sen. John McCain

August 20, 2004

Senator, I have ALWAYS held you with the highest regard and respect for your military service, your incredible sacrifice as a POW and for your great contributions to our political process. I had the distinct privilege of meeting your Father when I was working for Adm. Lloyd Mustin. To the issue: Senator, I sincerely believe, as do MANY of my colleagues that you over-stepped and over-spoke on the Swift Boat Ad/controversey...you did it TOO early, without the benefit of the book yet being released and really Did Not Have A "Dog" In That Fight! We believe that you have done great dishonor (to use your words) to the honorable men who were there and compiled the data. Far worse, YOU have become the "darling" of the liberals and have empowered them with your words...YOU are now quoted by every liberal spokesman and your photo is featured in one of their rebuttal ads. Where, Sir, was the outrage at Gore's "traitor remarks", Kennedy's "Lied to us" rhetoric, McCauliffe's "Lied and deceived us" comments...The disdain for Michael Moore's work and Kerry's endorsement the Hollywood "stars" fundraisers who defiled the President and the office. We appreciate your support and endorsement of President Bush, BUT, Please don't walk the fence! Thanks and God Bless, Major General Chris Adams, USAF (Ret); Vietnam 66-67 (370 days not "4-months") a few insignificant medals for logging 1100 hours in combat.

McCain sure has become very quiet since his remarks. I know he is getting slammed with e-mails from vets...I myself wrote 3 Shocked .

I would like to see him ask Kerry to pull the ad that shows him in Kerry's ad - almost as if McCain is supporting John Kerry.
