Very, very sad.

Kerry will simply not abandon or modify his crucifixion of the U.S. military and the Vietnam vets.

Campaign official insists Democrat was right about war

WASHINGTON – John Kerry stands by his claims in 1971 before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that U.S. soldiers in Vietnam regularly, and as a matter of official policy, committed war atrocities against innocent civilians, according to a top campaign official.

John Hurley, national director of Veterans for Kerry, denied on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, that Kerry had overstated the case against the war when he returned home as a spokesman for the Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

... Yesterday, Hurley agreed with the testimony and said Kerry stands behind it.

"Absolutely," Hurley said. "He's a leader. He came back, and he spoke the truth."

Asked repeatedly by Wallace if Kerry had overstated what happened in his testimony in 1971, Hurley emphatically said no.

He's an idiot. Even the left leaning reporters in the MSM think that Kerry was way over the line. This will cost him crucial MSM support. See if I am wrong.

He stood by his 1971 testimony before Congress in his biography, "Tour of Duty."

To make an apology now would be first, impossible - he is incapable of understanding what his brand of activism did to so many millions of vets and their families - and second, it would be patently clear that he was making up an apology to pander to those who don't understand any better than he does what his lies and slander accomplished.

Robert Elder: "At home, John Kerry was the Field General."

Let him stand by his actions. He is reaping the whirlwind for them all and the truth about that generation of Armed Forces is coming to light.

The record will be set straight no matter what Kerry does or says, at this point.
