What's the deal between McCain and Kerry? It's my understanding that , up until a couple of years ago, McCain had the same feelings toward Kerry that the Swiftboat vets have, about Kerry'spost-war activity.
Now, they supposedly hashed out their differences a couple of years ago.
Did they perhaps come to an agreement to not stand in the way of each other in their Presidential ambitions. Not necessarily openly support, but kinda watch each others backs????? |

I don't know - I don't think anyone does - SEN McCain has certainly not acted in the way I would have expected him to.
But it's kind of speculative and off-topic for this forum, so I'll be moving it to the geedunk, shortly.

With all this reading what Elliott/Lonsdale said before & now (which they CAN explain, I'm sure), I don't see any media pulling up written comments by McCain against the anti-war protestors at the time.... Why does HE feel different now, what has changed? Will be interesting to see how long he can stay silent on this issue, as he has fueled the dem attack on the Swiftees. |

Sorry'bout posting in the wrong forum, newbie here.
Just tired of hearing Hurley etal, draw McCains name like a six-shooter. |

No problem.
I'm pretty sick of Hurley, too - He only "served with" John Kerry when they marched together under the VC flags! _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Yup.
They've used that about five times now.
if it's a cap-and-ball device, #6 is empty (hollow! )
but I think they used the last shot, before firing the first shot, on their leg getting the thing unholstered. |

Wasn't McCain upset with Kerry over his dismissive attitude regarding MIA's and possibly remaining POW's in 'Nam? Didn't Kerry, (a majority Dem at the time) dismantle a POW-MIA committe to McCains disgust...right? _________________ A willing tool of the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" since 1981. |

In the not too distant past, Senator Kerry got a bill killed in Senator McCain's Senate subcommittee that would have been a great loss to the big AIG insurance company. Oreilly did a show or 2 on this in the past year I believe.
Senator Kerry and Senator McCain have been personal friends for quite some time it seems. |

Well after Galanti has spolen out and Bob Dole too...maybe McCain will realize who the real heros are...not kerry. _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

Yes, I agree! I wonder how McCain feels now that the Democrats are USING him in their ads condemning swiftvets for truth. Im sorry, But he should of kept his mouth shut. He has a "right" to talk but why when he obvously campaigining for Bush. I have a tough time likeing him. I struggle with it. At times, I like him and then most (of late) I just want him to stick with "nothing nice to say, say nothing" especially where they are using him and he must know that? I hope he comes out and says something to the democratic party to stop using his quotes & pics in thier ad. |
