The following facts can be looked up in the archives of the Boston Globe
The Jr. Senator has lied, misrepresented facts, smeared and defamed every opponent he has run against when the elections have been close.
The closer the election, the more negative and nasty he becomes.
The Jr. Senator has been constant in one thing over almost 30 years, his capacity to lie and twist the truth.
As for wounds in action. During the mining of Haiphong harbor in 1972, the USS Chicago on which I was serving came under fire. During this short engagement, I was injured. On reporting to sick bay, I was told that I was/would be eligible for the Purple Heart. I told both the Corpman and the Doc "you got to be kidding, no way." It would not have been honorable to accept such a medal for which others had "bleed" for.
