It is hard to imagine how this controversy can continue without Kerry and/or his defenders finally addressing the specifics of the allegations being made against him. Of course, the Form 180 would do just that.

So, in the meantime, they will engage in their usual diversionary tactics in order to a) hope that events will take this off the front page; or, b) they can devise a strategy that might innoculate Kerry from the fallout which would occur in the wake of some potentially embarassing disclosures.

Lanny Davis made this tactic into an art form during the Clinton years.

But you can bet that Kerry and his admirers are working overtime to figure out a way to handle the potential for scandal if and when more of the facts are exposed to the light of day.

Much of the stuff Kerry and the media are doing now is just filler. Like the pathetic Cleland stuff, or the Ginsberg news being splashed all over the news wires.

You just can't engage in such weak tactics for a sustained period of time. Even Popeye Kerry knows that.
