There are now 3 men William Zaldonis, one of Kerry's crew on the 44 boat, Patrick Runyon, another enlisted man, and retired Adm. William Schachte the officer in charge of this "Skimmer operation" that claim to be one of the other 2 men in the boat with Kerry on Dec 2, 1968.
One of them is lying and knows he wasn't there or one of them is mistaken in thinking he was there. If the 3 of them take a polygraph it should uncover in the first case and actually settle a lot of stuff. |

Polygraphs are unreliable. Are they all saying the same thing re what caused the 1st P/H wound?

No, lying about being there in the boat. Assuming that the Adm is telling the truth he would have more credibility on the "no hostile fire" about which he is adement. |

Okay, we've had a lot of people suggest the use of polygraphs.
Polygraphs are extremely unreliable and in the case of someone who has constructed a persona around a pack of lies, the results would be useless.
With someone who is afflicted with Narcissism in the clinical sense, a polygraph would only support that person's construct.
You have to have some semblance of a conscience, unblocked by any personality disorder for a polygraph to be accurate, and then only in the hands of a very skilled practitioner.
At best, it's a tool - that's why they are not admissible in court in many states.
At worst, they are junk science and irresponsible.
Please see any of the dozen other threads about the use of polygraphs and do some investigating on their reliability. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Zaladonis doesn't need a polygraph. He just needs someone who can ask the right questions. My list of what he should be asked, at the end of which I think no one would have any doubt whether to believe Zaladonis or Adm. Schachte, just based on what I think Zaladonis would have to admit:
