So far, the differences in the conventions is conspicuous:

Dem. Convention = pessimism and weakness

Rep Convention = optimism and strength (i.e., Arnold, McCain and Rudy)

I'm not a big fan of the Governator, but I do have to admit I enjoyed his "economic girlie-men" jibe...

One of his many endearing qualities - he LOVES & APPRECIATES AMERICA & knows how it has helped him. More than you can say for Kerry.

He also has a 65% approval rating in California, too.

Doc, one other difference that struck me is the humor. The dim's come across like bitter, angry fools, the Pubbies look like the are making their points and having a great time doing it.

They are very comfortable, they are talking from their hearts and making clear distinct points as the dems focused on dividing our nation. Regardless of your views nobody wants our country divided, especially when we are at war.

The difference that I see is that not every speaker is gratuitously bashing Kerry in the way every last one, it seemed, at the Dem Convention bashed Bush. They weren't running FOR something. They were all just ABB.

Plus, here you have the PH band-aids, which I still think is appropriate, and humorous. I wouldn't mind seeing a vet get up there at the podium, appear to bump his finger, say - 'owwie' - and promptly produce an ACME John Kerry PH band-aid. And then he could appear to say just off-mike, nah, don't bother with the casualty report.

It truly is the difference between night and day with the two conventions. I hope and pray to God that millions of AMerican, especailly those not planning to vote for Bush, not planning to vote at all, and most importantly, the rational minority who are voting for kerry.

I loved watching last night - the governor who spoke before Prime Time was especially eloquent in his optimism, but of course the governator was the undisputed star.

On Saturday, c-span will be re-airing all of the keynote speeches from the convention at 9 am, I believe.

Okay.... this is off to the geedunk, shortly. Smile
