I was listening to the Governator speak at the Convention tonight on my way to work, and was lamenting the fact that the he could never run for president because he was born in Austria. Was it just me, or did his speech made you miss Reagan even more, it was like listening to Ronnie all over again. He reminded me of why I spent 9 years on active duty, and made me feel good about it. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks. All we got to do is have the same guy who took care of Kerry's military records file a birth certificate for Arnold. Problemo Solved!!! Laughing

I like Arnold and think he is great. I also lament that he can never be president, but this post is for issues with Kerry.

I think it could be done fairly easily. I know that Orrin Hatch was sponsering an amendment that would allow naturalized US citizens to run for president....and I generally support it. Write to your Senators and ask them to support it....from what I hear, it has a fairly broad appeal.....although the details (as always) get sticky.

I would hope there would be some stipulations on it if they ever pass it. If a popular immigarnt were to become a citizen and run for president very shortly after, what is the possibility of getting a leader that became a citizen just to run for President?

Even out natural born candidates aren't always pro-America, it seems Wink

I liked Arnold's speech as well...I think he did a good job. So far this RNC has been opening a nice can of whoopass to the Democrats. How do you know when you are Republican?
