Question Notwithstanding my dislike of Kerry (who my political friends are referring to as Johnny Ketchup), I'm curious about the amount of noise that your boats put out.

In an attempt to be fair to Kerry (who certainly wasn't fair to us), I'm trying to ascertain if one boat could experience hearing rifle fire while another close to it couldn't because of the noise of your engines.

I was a tank platoon leader in I Corp and remember several instances where a tank to my rear reported fire when I could hear nothing. Over the sound of our engines and the clanking of the tracks, one could sometimes only hear fire that was close or, of course, large enough calibre to be heard over anything.

So, could Kerry have experienced fire that others could not hear?

Bob,

After the mine went off under PCF-3 they opened up for about 40 seconds with suppressing fire from 9 50 cals and 3 M-60s. Of course, all 3 OinCs other than Kerry say no hostile fire. Of course, no small arms damage to 4 stationary boats. Of course, no injuries other than from the mine except Kerry.

Engine Noise? I know you know what I mean!
