Truth? Need additional reasons to seek truth? Think Kerry is better than Bush on terrorism? See Russian Carrying child on Stretcher with U. S. Flag on his shirt at the below link:

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20040903/D84SFJS01.html

This Russian isn't one of Kerry's "New Soldiers" with the flag flying upside down! Think the world doesn't know that America is tough on Terrorism? Elect Kerry and we will be throwing SPITBALLS!

Take a good look at that site at the dead bodies of the children. Never Forget those images. I will do anything to keep Kerry from becoming President. If he opens his mouth one more time about the Patrioit Act I will scream. What we need is every weapon in our arsenal (including the Patriot Act) to protect our children from these atrocities. Terrorists are evil. They think nothing of slaughtering innocent people, children, babies. We need President Bush because he has a grasp of the evil of these people and will spare nothing to procte this nation. Kerry is an appeaser. He will surrender our nation at the first sign of trouble. No way Kerry. I urge everyone on this site to copy those pictures of the dead children and send them to people who are wavering and just don't get it about how deadly this enemy is.

Sure wish I could see what it says under the flag on his shirt. I brought the picture into Paint Shop Pro but after enlarging it, I couldn't tell. I'm not even sure if it's in english or russian.

I so agree - and when I hear about dem strategists saying they've got to talk about the economy and jobs and health care, etc, etc -- and attack Bush on the domestic front, it all rings so hollow -- domestic comfort is not the most important issue of our time, but its all they have -- and yes, when Kerry picks at the Patriot Act... I can't express my grief, my anger in that regard, it is a twisted feeling inside. But it's his same old stuff - the gov't is lying to you. Same old song - played well for him in '71..... !!!!!

If we don't wipe this scourge, this barbaric ideology of the Islamic Jihadis from the face of the earth, there aren't going to be any jobs or schools or economy --- or America. Fighting this war in this Age of Terror is #1 to me and the Bush team gets it and is on point and if we have to suffer economically for awhile, then we'll just have to do so. Gosh but I wish this country was more unified in this war effort -- that barbarism at the school... we are not immune/safe from that happening here. It's not just "over there" any more...they get ideas from each other....

Kerry would "go to war to defend us if we were attacked." As someone said at the Republ. convention, "we have already been attacked." BIG DIFFERENCE in awareness.... hope people think about it very carefully....

How easy it would be for a sleeper cell to do the same thing here in our own schools. Our imigration policy is just setting us up for one, or more of these situations.

Oh so how true! I'm an Arizona native and have watched as the human smugglers have abused my state. We're trying to fight it localy here but we are having a very hard time of it. The illegals fight us at every turn. I realy do fear that it will take an action like what just happened in russia to get things to change here.

As I've been saying right along to all my friends and family "WE can not begin to think we can git a grip on terrorists coming into out country when we can't even remotely manage our everyday imigration problem."

I really feel for you Arizona! -- I've seen the "water stations" set up for the illegals so they don't suffer too much. Rolling Eyes Perhaps a mission by the folks here in America who are "looking out for the rights of the illegals" will provide air-conditioned vans and snacks for them so their journey here can be made in greater comfort. A problem with our immigration policy is that we don't take seriously the term: "illegal alien." We argue about "what that means." Gosh I hate that!!

The sweep up thru Mexico seems to be an open corridor for the bad guys (have seen articles about Al Qaeda in South America..). Perhaps after this election, this issue can be brought more to the attention of the gov't. There are some senators I've heard speaking in the Senate that really want tough action in this regard. They need to be supported.

What really gets me is when I hear supporters of illegal aliens crying out about "what America owes these people." Or that any action against them is "un-American! Not the American way to not welcome immigrants." What they always leave out is that these people are coming in as shadows -- as illegals.... and I'm thinking, hey, you, don't be telling me WHO America is or what she OWES -- all it would take is one hostaged building, a school or otherwise, and many, many dead... and then exposure that they "came across the border" -- and then our action on the border would be furious. I am just so hoping we don't wait for that reason to clamp the border down....

The dems speak of jobs, health care, child care, etc. makes me think of something I read several years ago.

Being a big history buff, I enjoy rummaging through information in archives and libraries. . . . Once I read an interview with Thomas Jefferson recorded in the mid 1820's - don't remember the extract year, but a couple of years prior to his dead in 1826.

The person ask Jefferson how and why he chose the words "Life, Liberty and the Persuit of Happiness". Since I do not have the exact quote - I'll paraphrase his reply.

Jefferson said the source was a Greek writer whom he did not name, but said the order of these words was his.

In Jefferson's mind the order was specifically important, he said - "there is no persuit of human pleasures - without liberty and there is no liberty - without life".

As our liberal brethren seek their creature comforts from the government (which they label as "rights" or "entitlements") I hope they understand Jeffersons priorities.

On September 11, 2001, as my sister and I were picking our children up from school I remarked that our schools were vulnerable and if the terrorists really wanted to bring this country to our knees they would attack our children in schools. In her ever optimistic and sunny way, she said 'Oh that would never happen. It would just be too difficult to pull off.'

On August 30th, 2004, I took both my children to the first day of school happy in my complacency that my kids are safe. That complacency was shattered this week. It is imperative to have a leader with the moral clarity to recognize this as evil rather than an cultural difference and the moral fortitude to confront and destroy it.

"I cannot understand why you hope for a quick end of the war. Unless we take the horror of battle to Germany itself, unless we fight in their villages, blowing up their houses, smashing open their wine cellars, killing some of their livestock for food, unless we litter their streets with horriblely rotten German corpses as was done in France, the Germans will prepare for war, unmindful of its horrors. Defeat must be brought into German itself before this mess can come to a proper end; a quick victory now, a sudden collapse, will leave the countryside relatively intact and the people thisty for revenge. I want the war to end as quickly as anybody wishes, but I don't want the nucleus of another war left whole."

Lt. David Kenyon Webster,
Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army and Harvard English Professor in a letter to his parents during the Battle of the Bulge

Band of Brothers, Stephen Ambrose, p. 117

Poignant quote. Thanks.
And I say in a terribly un-PC way, Yes.
Bush said, "whatever it takes." I believe he gets it.

As I noted in a different post, I travel to Russia annually. I experience this sort of pro-American sentiment among the oridnary people regularly. And also among many of their older veterans.
My first trip was the summer of 1994. I was a lone VienNam vet in our military history travel group. As soon as the Russkiis discovered what I was... I became an instant rock star!! I'd never experienced anything like it! At Kursk, one old man presented me with his own Guards Division badge.
Cursed in America, but honored .... in Russia Exclamation Really puts the truth of the cold war in perspective. And also the truth about those Americans like Lyin' John, who wanted us to lose.
