Oops, sorry..... someone posted a topic with only "Forgery!" in the title and "Picked up on Drudge" in the message.
Assuming that it was a message about the donation letter, I deleted it, only to check drudgereport.com and find out that the CBS DOCUMENTS are looking like forgeries!
(Wow, that didn't take long! Thanks to all the sleuths here and to powerlineblog!)

I found it interesting that Rather all but ignored the SBVT until he had to. But, he headlines these documents as the opening story on yesterdays news program. Rather, as he has countless times before, insults the intelligence of his viewers by ignoring real news that is damning to Kerry but headlining questionable news that is potentially damning to Bush.
If these allegations of forgery prove true, I predict that there will be no backlash against Rather. Plus, how much you want to bet that Rather ignores these forgery claims as well?

I'm sure that Rather will whitewash any claims of forgery. But, the backlash has already begun.
Was this type of sleuthing and comparison of notes possible four years ago? Not nearly to this extent.
