CBS, one of the alphabet networks that is losing its audience to cable news, released documents that supposedly show that President Bush refused to under go a doctors exam. Also in the documents was a supposed grounding order, which supposedly kept Bush from flying for several months. The network even did a 60 minutes show hosted by Dan Rather about the documents.This was a blatant attempt by CBS to help their man, Kerry, get elected. There is only one problem, and that problem was known by CBS even before the documents were released, or the showed was aired. The documents are forgeries.

Whether CBS will ever admit to their reporting lies as fact remains to be seen, but its doubtful they will. CBS has an obvious bias against President Bush, and this is their eyes, this is their way to counter the Swift Boat Vets truthful claims against Kerry. If CBS were to admit its lie, unfortunately, the network would probably be given a free pass, just like when the New York Times was caught plagiarizing and printing falsehoods, at least among their peers. The American public probably wouldn't be so generous. The people who have already decided who they are going to vote for, probably wont change their minds. The undecideds, however, could very well see this for what it is, promotion for Kerry, and CBS cant willing allow that to happen.

CBS and the rest of the mainstream media would love to take everyones attention on the swift boat veterans, and their campaign for truth. The liberal media thought they had their opportunity. They thought the American public wouldn't catch on to the lie. They were dead wrong.
