I just finished reading Unfit for command, and have been pouring over these websites and other information to learn more about what I consider to be quite frankly, an evil self serving man. I have a new found respect and a different view of history now, and realize that the veterans who served in Viet Nam deserve just as much respect as those who served in WWII or any other war. My hats off to you folks who went when called.

Heres my question though.. If john Kerry was a traitor by the very definition of the word, for aiding our enemy during viet nam though visits to communist leaders while he was still in the naval reserves, why was there no prosecution by the military, or was there?

I just had a very long response to this typed out and the dang board hiccupped.

IMO, it was a matter of timing and the mood of the country.

We'd been spoon-fed KGB propaganda for years via the dissident groups and the nightly news, the losses were mounting with no end in sight, and then My Lai came along and seemed to knock the last of any fighting spirit out of us.

When we left, the politicians who had so clumsily micromanaged the war just left all the pieces where they lay.

It's how Kerry and his ilk got away with the atrocities they perpetrated on the rest of the country.

The Winter Soldier Farce, the conspiracy to assassinate pro-war Senators, meeting with the enemy while our people were still dying in Vietnam.

He got away with all of it because we wanted to "put it all behind us." The draft-dodgers were pardoned and allowed to come home. We swept it all under the rug.

Kerry made it into the Senate. That was bad enough, but at least he was someone else's problem.

Well, you can sweep things under the rug, but the dirt is still there. You can choke down grief, anger, pain and betrayal, but you are eventually going to have to deal with it in one way or the other.

What we're seeing is an exponentially-growing rejection of this traitor among veterans of all eras. We're lifting the rug and the dirt is still there.

If he didn't keep faith even with his own brothers, how could we possibly trust him with the charge of ALL our Armed Forces?

Payback, Traitor John. It's real mf'er.
