Should be simple for someone to figure out the source now, given that town.

ps - You scooped me by a minute. Hopefully admin will delete my topic on this same thing ... didn't see yours.

Abilene?

I think someone at CBS is fed up and is ratting them out. No way CBS would have let the document examiners see the original faxes or take notes.

What do we know about Abilene? Texas again...Ben Barnes anyone? Does Burkett live there? Rather is from Texas...Rather's daughter is big in Texas Democrats.... I don't like speculating, but this is too important not to throw ideas around.

GoEagles,

I had replied on yours that I got you by a minute too, but it was deleted now.

I'm an admin at a site that is newer and different topic, it doesn't get nearly the traffic. I don't envy the mods on this site and all the work they have to do every minute with all of us pouncing on everything.

Great work mods! I know it takes time as I use to be a mod on site with 78,000 members and that was the wild wild west every day!

Hmmm, could Ben Barnes the star witness of the 60 minutes episode in question be the source of the fake memos. They might be setting up Barnes to take the fall, but either way the DNC will self-destruct if this is true.

Aye the admins have to work over time when I start posting. Embarassed

Yes they are very good and people should give them thanks and props for the very hard work they do on this site to keep it very dignified. Take one look at the Kerry for President website and you will not find the same level of professionalism by their moderators. Another reason not to vote for Kerry.

Agreed, thanks Mods. Sorry for creating extra work for you, it was unintentional.

I think that the other media outlets got these
memos too as I saw something about USA Today
having a set of 6.

I wonder if they could check where they're came
from too.

The killer will be if they find they were also faxed to the DNC and Kerry campaign.

Instapundit is on it, and has the link to the Burkett story: http://instapundit.com/archives/017849.php

Kerry Spot also has the reaction from inside CBS on the 60 minutes story: http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerry200409152209.asp

I think it's only a matter of time now. The MSM's first order of the day is self-preservation. They aren't going down for Rather. This isn't going to be pretty people.

Ben Barnes (my favorite suspect in this whole thing) lives in Austin.

I don't know where Bill Burkett lives.

Of course, the insane clown posse at the Delta Uniform board will see Abilene and think Carl Rove gave Bob Perry a ride to the local Kinkos.

Sometimes having a law degree comes in handy.

If the fraudulent documents were sent by fax over phone lines that cross state lines (that is, interstate commerce) that equals WIRE FRAUD. Major federal offense!!!!!
