Someone told me they saw on CNN that Kerry went to Lombardi Field a couple of days ago and stood up and called it 'Lambert' and the entire crowd booed and booed. Did this happen?

Thanks - they had the field wrong but the story right. Green Bay's Lambeau field. I guess he is learning how best to put his foot in his mouth from his wife.

That's half true. He was at one of his "backyard talks" in Green Bay and was fielding questions from the 70-80 people who actually showed up and then made his infamous Lambert statement. The crowd didn't boo but they stopped clapping rather quickly. Also he was in Madison yesterday and claimed he had to get a brat at Main St Brats, the crowd became earily quiet. Probably because there is no such thing, it's called State St Brats. It's so funny when he tries to be an average person.

New organization pokes fun at Kerry’s football fumbles — like ‘Lambert Field’

By Brian Tumulty
Press-Gazette Washington bureau

WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has a new political attack group to contend with.

Two Washington-based lawyers supporting President Bush’s re-election have registered an advocacy group, Football Fans for Truth, as a Section 527 organization allowed to accept unlimited political donations. They plan to publicize Kerry’s recent sports misstatements such as his reference to the home of the Green Bay Packers as “Lambert Field” instead of Lambeau Field.

Other gaffes they hope to bring wider attention to include Kerry’s talk of the Buckeyes — the nickname of Ohio State University’s team — while campaigning in University of Michigan Wolverine territory.

LOVE!!!! the picture Skypilot. I wonder if that was when he went to the high school football practice and fell down trying to recover a fumble that no one else was trying to get. The team looked on in amazement at his terrible coordination, it was hilarious!!(that was in Green Bay also) I think he should stick to windsurfing even though it makes him look like a girlie-man.

Hi coldwarvet,

Just replied to your post in Geedunk also. As I said there I am an Independent and have never been politically active but would LOVE to help get the Ultra-Liberal Feingold defeated. Since Calumet county is very Republican just let me know what I can do to get people out to vote.

I'm with you! I voted for Michels on Tuesday, not really thinking he could beat Darrow. WOW, was I completely thrilled when I heard how handily he beat the pants off Darrow!!! I did NOT want a "used car salesman" as our representative!!! Wooohoooo! Go TIM!!!!! Now beat the pants off of Feingold in the debates!!!
