Greetings all:

My pictures from the Rally Sunday can be found at:

http://www.personal.psu.edu/staff/m/d/mdc9/Rally/Rally.htm

Note some are roll over links.

I haven't really put a lot of text in but think the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. Let me know what you think please.

Great pictures, I recognized some of the people. Too bad you didn't get woman with the picture of the soldier, a friend of hers, helping Vietnamese children. She had a title on the picture something like "One of John Kerry's Baby Killers". Also very moving.

Wow! Quite a crowd! Was this reported by the MSM anywhere?
I didn't see ANYTHING about it.

I stole 3 I liked and added them to my (unpublished) collection:

... I plan to use the "I'm a Viet Nam vet and have the right ..." one to good effect in a couple of personal situations.

Thanks for sharing the pictures with those of us who couldn't be there in person but were there in spirit!

Thank you for posting the photos of the rally. I watched cspan,
but the photos add so much more that the cameras don't.
And especially thank you for getting them online so quickly...
I'm in the path of Ivan and this may be my last chance online
for a while.

I have a mpg video of Carol "Gell" Crowley I am trying to get up online as well but it is really large and I haven't figured out how to compress it so I haven't posted that yet. I am still working on the site but I wanted to get something out FAST because I knew the press weren't.

Actually I have access to the Associated Press photo base and the only thing they are offering is

one decent crowd shot WHICH NO NEWSPAPER I CAN FIND USED

one shot of the guy in the wheelchair trying to disrupt the rally WHICH QUITE A FEW USED WRONGLY and implied our people were ganging up on the guy. In this picture the guy is yelling and Carol is trying to get him to shut up so the rally can go on and one of the Rolling Thunder guys is trying to keep things cool. That's it.

one shot is four guys all alone on a bench looking as if that were the whole rally I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS ONE USED EITHER.

Anyway while I can't give permission to use peoples images for any kind of formal publication I can certainly say feel free to use mine and my daughters pictures however seems best to you to get the word out.

Otherwise feel free to send people my way and if others have shots I missed that they want me to add to the collection I will try and update when and where I can. I'm really not much of a computer guy but I figured it was more important to get it up and out there then to have it look perfect.

Please keep in mind some of the pictures are mouse overs so you may have to go after both images.

Great Pics!!!

I watched the whole thing on TV but the pics give another perspective. Passed along the link to my Navy son and daughter, I know they will make sure this goes around to everyone they know.

You can go to tomshardware dot com and get good info on just about anything related to computers. I hope this isn't against the rules or anything, but I'm going to post a link that will have several articles on video compression.

some of them, like DivX have trial veresions. Good luck.

PS - Thanks to all who went to DC to get the word out. May God bless you.

mdcrandall,

Absolutely fabulous job! Watching it on CSPAM didn't really give anyone a chance to see a lot of the wonderful signs that people were holding.

Your pictures truly are "worth a thousand words." EACH.

Would you mind if I put a link to your page in the "Places to Visit" list on my blog?

Thanks for taking the pictures and posting them!

Smile
