Rooney'd rather CBS fessed up

DAILY NEWS BUSINESS WRITER
CBS curmudgeon Andy Rooney indicated yesterday he believes the controversial documents on President Bush's National Guard service are fake and said it could cost Dan Rather down the road.
"I'm surprised at their reluctance to concede they're wrong," Rooney said, referring to CBS brass.
Despite praising Rather as "a good, honest newsman," Rooney added, "I'm unsure if they're whistling in the dark instead of apologizing."
The flap over the documents has rocked CBS News, has Republicans calling for Rather's head and has people questioning the credibility of Rather instead of Bush.

Andy Roney may not be that bad after all. When those in MSM start to turn on Rather and CBS only trouble can lie ahead for them. Rather and CBS may not want to give up the source for fear it may lead back to DNC and connect directly to them.

| Andy looney is a piece of cr-p. He is only speaking out to save is own skin. I stopped watching him years ago. However, I did catch his comments on Mel Gibson's movie the Passion. He is a godless loon. |

Stopped watching Rooney (along with anything see BS) years ago. Andy reminds me of the commercial 'I should have used 'preparation....'. Although I admit I occasionally flipped from my usual station to see if Dan RAthER had anything further to offer us the past week. Nothing more than the usual rehash.
