Article 6, Section 3.1--Restrictions on the Powers of the Executive Board

d.  Sell, lease, or mortgage property without a vote of the membership.

e.  Appoint a consulting minister, a settled minister, a half-time minister, a part-time minister, or a lay leader without a vote of the membership at a regular or specially called congregational meeting;

f.   Fill any of the positions named in Article 6, Section 3.1.e without a vote of the membership at a regular or specially called congregational meeting

Article 8--Special Congregational Meetings

Article 9.  Committees

Section 9.1--Standing committees

Much of the work of the Fellowship is carried out by Standing Committees.  Other committees shall be appointed ad hoc according to Section 9.2.  The Standing Committees are

a. Care and Concerns

b. Facilities

c. Finance

d. Long-range Planning

e. Membership

f.  Program

g. Publicity

h. Religious Education

i.  Social Action

j.  Special Events

k. Three for the Common Good

 

Eliminate Section 9.2--Other Standing Committees and Their Functions

Change Section 9.2.1--Ad Hoc Committees to Section 9.2

Change Section 9.2.2--Nominating Committee to Section 9.2.1

Change Section 9.2.3--Search Committees to Section 9.2.2

 

Section 9.2.3---Search Committees

a.  Ministerial Search Committee:

Line 4:  The Search Committee shall consist of two (2) Board Members and five (5) members at large elected from and by the membership of the Fellowship.

 

b.  Delete Section b.

c.  Committee Membership:  Chairpersons of all Committees shall be appointed by the President in consultation with the Board of Trustees.

Article 10, Section 10.3.1

An Interim Minister may be employed upon a favorable recommendation by the Search Committee, a favorable recommendation by the Board of Trustees, and the vote of the congregation at a regular or specially called meeting.  The Board shall specify the compensation and conditions of employment for the Interim Minister.
