Oh where, oh where, have the W.M.D.'s gone?

Stories like this could be very bad for John Kerry President's Merry Band of Leftist Appeasers.

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/006903.php

This World Tribune story ( http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/breaking_1.html ) is a follow-up to the item we linked a couple of days ago, on the Iraqi missile engines and equipment that could be used to make weapons of mass destruction that turned up in a Jordanian scrap yard ( http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/006883.php ). The World Tribune story is headlined, "UN inspectors: Saddam shipped out WMD before war and after":

The United Nations has determined that Saddam Hussein shipped weapons of mass destruction components as well as medium-range ballistic missiles before, during and after the U.S.-led war against Iraq in 2003. The UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission briefed the Security Council on new findings that could help trace the whereabouts of Saddam's missile and WMD program.

The briefing contained satellite photographs that demonstrated the speed with which Saddam dismantled his missile and WMD sites before and during the war. Council members were shown photographs of a ballistic missile site outside Baghdad in May 2003, and then saw a satellite image of the same location in February 2004, in which facilities had disappeared.

The Baghdad missile site contained a range of WMD and dual-use components, UN officials said. They included missile components, reactor vessel and fermenters – the latter required for the production of chemical and biological warheads.

Actually, banned Iraqi weapons, and the equipment for making them, are turning up all over--not only in Iraq, but in Syria, Jordan, the Netherlands and Sudan. People are tripping over them in scrap metal yards. Why, then, is the administration not doing anything to inform people of the fact that its prewar claims were true, and not, as the Left claims, false? I have absolutely no idea.

Since virtually everyone stated they existed, they obvioulsy had to be transferred somewhere. Even Hans Blix, the great ignorer of WMDs, said in the past that Saddam needed to come clean about their existence or whereabouts.

I also remember reading a Kuwaiti official last year saying they had intercepted Iraqi WMDs, only to later recant and say they were actually artifacts. I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it hard to believe that someone confused a missle with a statue. One of the reports had to be bogus, although we will never know which one.

Do you guy's remember the democrats blocking Bush for 6 months on going in. While they went to Iraq and met with Sadaam. We will never know what they actually went there for but I believe it was to warn him to get them out of country because they couldn't hold Bush off forever. Just my perspective, but I can't remember anyone going to meet with the enemy and befriending them in the past, wait that's right Kerry did it also didn't he? Does anyone see a pattern there. Semper Fi.

Kerry repeated the insult by meeting with the Nicaraguan Communists while opposing Reagan and Ollie North, which greatly delighted Fidel Castro and the Soviet Union. The Cold War was won DESPITE people like Kerry; there IS a pattern, and it continues to this day. Semper Fi!

Marine4life and Walt, both of you bring up valid points. This coupled with the number of times Kerry met with the North Vietnamese makes me wonder if this socialist has been doing this all along, and if he has been subverting the government of the US by meeting with Socialists, Communists and others, then he is a traitor to this nation, which I already believe that he is!

Woof!

So is Kerry going to say something like:
"I said there were WMD's in Iraq before I voted against going in."
if this story ever breaks.

Y'all might want to take a look at this.

I need to explain something though, so before you click that link, red this:

The link goes to Debka.com, which is routinely dismissed by the left as being no better than The National Enquirer.
Even people on the right are often loath to cite Debka, partially because the lefties dismiss it out of hand and they are tired of that argument, and partially because of something else...

You see, Debka deals in raw analysis. They work very much like a government intelligence agency and have contacts within many of them throughout the world.

When you read a story on Debka, it is up to YOU to decide how much weight to give it, based upon what else you know. The stories also tend to require you to read Debka daily, so that you have the context of what they write.

In other words; this is not the place to go for processed news.

Having said all that, they do a pretty damn good job of keeping their ears to the ground. Now go click the link.
