I got mine, they are from Springfield. So far, three friends have agreed to let me use their email addresses and I'm going to open a couple more accounts with hotmail (they're free). Just getting them off the list is worth it and don't think I'll even bother them with a letter. I'm sure most in Ohio are getting fed up.

You can slam these people, tell them our politics is none of their business.
Email: freedland@guardian.co.uk
This is the email I just sent to Freeland:
"Freedland:
Stay out of our business. Your effort to influence American voters will, if anything, very likely backfire. Americans do NOT, I repeat, do NOT, like Europeans telling us what to do.
So bugger off!

First, spy novelist John Le Carré, whose real name is David Cornwell. In his letter to an Ohio voter he says:
"Probably no American president in all history has been so universally hated abroad as George W Bush: for his bullying unilateralism, his dismissal of international treaties, his reckless indifference to the aspirations of other nations and cultures, his contempt for institutions of world government, and above all for misusing the cause of anti-terrorism in order to unleash an illegal war."
Is this idiot trying to win the trip tp Ohio or is he just dumb enough to solidify the fact that almost 50% of the American public will now never buy one of his bad books? Maybe I should give this it's own thread to give it attention. |
He is an arrogant, Socialist author who probably never thought that this stunt by The Guardian would garner this much attention. Or he would be satisfied if ALL of the Democrats bouth his books. |

A poster at Spleenville put this together if any of our Bloggers is interested. I used it this afternoon, but with my E-Mail I had to cut the list into two parts.

Hi everybody,
I'm new here and want to make a couple of points. Firstly very few of us Brits read The Guardian and many, like me, read it to ridicule it. The paper has a low sales figure and survives on the revenue from advertising overpaid jobs for brain dead people.
You good folks have the good fortune to live further away than I do, from The source of this filthy little newsrag.
If I can do anything to ridicule this latest stunt of theirs, please let me know.
God bless you all! |

I have a newphew stationed at an air base in the UK. I am emailing him this information with instructins to look at who is advertising in this paper and to arrange a boycott by US Airmen of these businesses. If anyone else has family or friends in the UK maybe they could also participate? _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Hi ALF! Thanks for your info on The Guardian. It sounds similar to our National Enquirer.
Hey everybody, ALF is a member of the British Forum, IDF50, where I first became aware of this trick by The Guardian. He unlike many Brits is pro-America so please make him feel welcome here. I think he understands the purpose of this Forum so I hope the Admin won't bounce him off. We need our friends in Great Britaint to alert us to any scam or trick that might be pulled over there to try and influence our election. I think you know that many Brits are pulling for John Kerry so we have to be watchful for other possible campaigns such as the one launched by The Guardian in these final two weeks. |

I don't know that I have all that many "friends" in the UK, but I know of several British Message Forums and if get a list of advertisers to boycott I will post it on those Forums. |

We got some colorful language there, didn't we?
I liked this letter. The writer made his/her point well don't you think?
__________
Hey England, Scotland and Wales,
Mind your own business. We don't need weenie-spined Limeys meddling in our presidental election. If it wasn't for America, you'd all be speaking German. And if America would have had a president, then, of the likes of Kerry, you'd all be goose-stepping around Buckingham Palace. YOU ARE NOT WANTED!! Whether you want to support either party. BUTT OUT!!!

The only thing those mealy mouthed, two faced creeps at The Guardian guard are their own asses and you've just given that a good kicking, thanks.
By the way, for those interested, that tiny rag newspaper carried the Marxist messages that destroyed what was left of England, The Country of my birth and also South Africa, where I spent over 30 years of my working life.
God bless you all! |
