Now, now. Let's stick with what we can prove. To the best of my knowledge, Kerry's parents were married. _________________ USMC 69-72, 7th Comm, 3rd MarDiv, FMFPAC

BZ's to all involved, especially you NavyChief.
I must say I totally had the wrong picture of you in my mind. I was thinking more burley, grizzled, and salty - sortta like Lee Marvin.
I think you're gonna have the ladies here all swooning!

Like cipher I also expected Chief to be rotund, don't know why.
As well, Chief looks much younger than I imagined since he just celebrated his 20 year retirement. I can only draw 3 possible conclussions:
1) Great genetics.
2) Chief enlisted at the age of 13.
3) I'm getting old.
I'm going with number 2.
Great work Chief . You will always have a place to stay if your travels take you to Southern California.
I was going to finish with "God Bless You" but it's clear that He already has. _________________ USMC res 3rd ANGLICO

Excellent stuff. Clear, concise and well edited. I've posted the link on three other forums so far. _________________ "All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time."

The vids are great! Really good. It makes it clear..easy to see/follow.
That should help with people who haven't read the book..etc..make it easier for them to understand. |

Now, now, don't give Chief the big head. I am a woman and I think John O'Neill is a hottie.
I posted my comments on these up at the sticky at the top. |

I wish I could just get them on my hard drive. I have all the commercials playing on a spare system at work. Alot of comments.
This would be the icing to the cake. The files download to the Temporary Internet files folder. Listed as *.dat files. Even tried to rename them to *.wmv and no luck. The mpeg versions have an issue with stuttering, tried to convert them, but the sync was off.
Oh well.
Anyways; Way to go Swifties and yes nice to put a face on Chief. _________________ Keep Kerry Out

It would be a great service to the Swifties if we could download to burn a DVD so we could share the message with our friends and neighbors.
Great way to get the message out for those that do not have Internet/Computers.
Just a suggestion. |

Actually, what'd be great is the SVPT themselves getting a bulk order of 100000 of these DVDs mailed to independents (and even some Dems, in the right counties--perhaps where Dem and VFW/AL registries overlap) in OH, FL, PA, and MN.
I wish they were "sans mood music", but again, that's a superficial nit compared to the powerful substance they provide.
Great job. Let's all pray and work to make sure it's not too late for the impact to be (again) felt! |

Why not make the main swiftvets.com address point to the SwftVetsAndPOWs.com site, so more people get exposed to the videos?
Then the "Visit Our Main Site" link could point back here. |

IMPORTANT: This doesn't work as well as it appears to. The MPEG files start off playing 100% fine, but then they gradually get more and more screwed up. Consider these instructions to be helpful only for test purposes--do NOT plan on it working for you.
If you're like me, you'll get a bunch of big MPEG files that look fine for the first 30 seconds or so, but then rapidly go down hill.
Very unfortunate.
-----------------
NOW NOT-RECOMMENDED INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) Cut and paste the following text into Windows' Notepad and then save as TEMP.HTM on your desktop:
<a href="http://www.swiftvetsandpows.com/mpeg/tspcumpeg.mpg" style="font-size:14pt;">The Sanpan Cover-Up</a>
<a href="http://www.swiftvetsandpows.com/mpeg/cicmpeg.mpg" style="font-size:14pt;">Christmas in Cambodia</a>
<a href="http://www.swiftvetsandpows.com/mpeg/jkfphmpeg.mpg" style="font-size:14pt;">First Purple Heart</a>
<a href="http://www.swiftvetsandpows.com/mpeg/nmlbmpeg.mpg" style="font-size:14pt;">No Man Left Behind</a>
<a href="http://www.swiftvetsandpows.com/mpeg/tphmpeg.mpg" style="font-size:14pt;">Third Purple Heart</a>
(2) Double-click on the TEMP.HTM file, which will open a simple Internet Explorer window listing each episode.
(3) In a NEW Internet Explorer window, go to http://www.swiftvetsandpows.com/ and make sure the MPEG button is selected.
(4) Click on the episode you want to download on the swiftvetsandpows site. Probably a new Internet Explorer window will open (does on mine), with a web address ending with "video.php". Note when that changes!
(5) As soon as it changes to something ending in "mpeg", then press the red x toolbar button to stop the download.
(6) Immediately right-click on the TEMP.HTM episode you just selected earlier at the swiftvetsandpows, and pick "Save target as" from the pop-up menu that appears. Save it to whatever location you desire.
(7) Repeat for each episode you wish to download.
This will allow you to show others these videos, away from the Net or on CD/DVD. [Note well: experience has shown to the contrary, as above.]
Let's keep up the fight.[/b] |
