Since the Kerry discharge topics have vaporized from this site, and I can't find anything recent elsewhere, how about a grassroots movement advocating the following simple requirement in the future:

Anybody who has been in the military and is running for National Office must make public his DD-214.

NOT a "DD-215" (on Kerry's website), not "an assurance", and not even all records. Just the DD-214.

For now, lets just start with "anyone running for public office should not be John Kerry"--From now until the polls close on Tuesday, that's enough for me--C

(You're right in what you're saying, of course, but I'll concern myself with that stuff after the election is settled)

I'm suspecting that next year would be appropriate.

The MSM will trickle out things for the next couple of months, whichever way the election goes.
"Breaking News" usually takes a few months to present.
It was much faster when we only had telephones and honest reporters.
