I think this could be important...The SwiftVets already have phone banks going on now to Vets in battleground states (PA, OH, etc.). Since they are already calling anyways, it would be VERY helpful (although only one day) if they could add in a comment/discussion about Sunday's event to whatever else they may say.

... is it certain that the Kerry discharge issue has finally been resolved in a way that is _proveable_??

I live in Philadelphia and could and would go to DC to participate in the rally, but I want to know for sure, if that is possible, that this is all for real and not just a way to get a rally going. I'm hoping this rally isn't being set up, just in case the proof comes through in time to make a difference.

I don't want to make a trip to DC, waste a day of campaign training up here in Philly, and spend money I can't afford, all for a lick and a promise.

I just joined this group, so I could participate in this critical issue, so if my question sounds out of touch, ill-informed or out of the spirit of things, thats why.

and start talking about kerry's connections, etc. He's got an idiot who claims to be a vet and is touting kerry & Nam etc. France

I would if I could. We have alot going on and are short handed. I emailed c-span. I have applied for an account at Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry. I looked at their forum and did not see this anywhere. When I get approved I will let them know about it. Great group of Vets there.

Post it wherever you think it should be. Get to the Vet sites. We need our vets to get the information.

Stevie posted church lists and if someone would help out calling them and giving them the information that would be a big help. They're pro-life and friendly to our cause.

Call the radio shows shout it across the country.

One suggestion: As a blogger, I'd like to have at least basic bio information on as many attendees of the rally as possible available. (Name, rank, dates of service, etc.). If you assembled that information in advance on likely attendees and distributed it to bloggers / the press up front, it would make it much easier for us to clearly show who the Swift Vets and their supporters are.

I'll share other thoughts as they come to me; good luck, and please feel free to contact me with updates via my e-mail.

I'm in Houston, and can't make it to DC, but maybe I'll be forced to make a third contribution to y'all. (The Pennsylvania email was my second).

I was born 10 years too late for Viet Nam (and I got out of the Navy and started college right before GW1) but I have nothing but respect for all of you that kept the faith while JFnK was lying before the Senate and meeting with the Communist leadership in Paris.
