miketst; grab your crayons cause here it comes. Yes, republicans have attacked the left. On each side there have been attacks that lacked forethought and were less than tasteful.
Now I issue you a challenge, one that I hope will dispell the impression I'm getting that you are trolling rather than participating in a debate.
The challenge is a rather easy one: Simply cite with reference ANY occasion where President Bush, Vice-President Cheney, or for that matter ANY of his cabinet has attended a fund-raiser or other event where personal attacks such as those exhibited in NYC took place. As a bonus, cite where the above mentioned condoned and endorsed such an attack.
Can you do it? |

Mikest....I have a question for you...
Lets use right now as an example....
OK Ann Coulter says hateful things....Have you ever seen GW embrace her and laugh with her and tell her she was right?
Have you ever seen an official of the Republican party sanction any of this behavoir....
The 2 Johns embraced this behavoir in New York. They laughed and applauded.
What really bothers me about Democrats right now is that they won't show enough intellectual honesty to admit these 2 guys are just about the worst example the left has as to leadership of their party.. _________________

Not sure what the crayon comment meant.
A quick search found this on newsmax.
Quote: | Dennis Miller Zaps 'KKK' Byrd, Boosts Bush
Corrosive comedian Dennis Miller used to raise conservatives' hackles, but now he's campaigning for President Bush and launching such devastating attacks on the Democrats that wimpy Republicans are again objecting.
Miller flew on Air Force One from San Francisco to Los Angeles with the president on Friday and performed at a Bush fund raiser in L.A.
Miller took a shot at America's most famous former Ku Klux Klansman, Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va.: "I think he must be burning the cross at both ends."
After some in the GOP crowd booed, Miller said: "Well, he was in the Klan. Boo me, but he was in the Klan."
He likened the nine Democrat White House wannabes to the loser New York Mets of 1962 and called them an "empty-headed scrum."
As for appeasement activist Howard Dean: "He can roll up his sleeves all he wants at public events, but as long as we see that heart tattoo with Neville Chamberlain's name on his right forearms, he's never going anywhere." |

Now here would be the biggest difference between Democrats and Republicans....
Quote: | After some in the GOP crowd booed, Miller said: "Well, he was in the Klan. Boo me, but he was in the Klan." |
I will ask you again....Where is the support for any of this kind of behavoir from the Republican Party? _________________

You said it they booed him not embraced him. Thanks for helping us make our point. How about the despicable behavior at the Senators funeral in Minnesota. Yea thats right the democrats heckled and booed the Republicans that came to pay their respects. You didn't see that at Reagans funeral!!!! Troll elsewhere we have the high ground on this one and most every other topic that you want to challenge, the fact is Kerry and Edwards are trash. Their behavior is despicable for someone that wants to lead the free world. Semper Fi. _________________ Helicopter Marine Attack Squadron 169 which is now HMLA-169. If YOU are unable to admit that there is a difference individual people being nasty to Clinton and the actual Democratic party being nasty to Bush, then you are not capable of being objective and future comments from you should be viewd in that light. _________________ 13F20P |

The crowd booed while Bush did not. You have no "highground" on this issue because there is no high ground. Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, not to mention the Coulters of the party, spend 3+ hours a day making far worse claims about the Dem party and its people and not once have they been taken to task. Instead Cheney and others has been known to show up on their shows from time to time. If you want respect than you must show it and the last 12+ years you have shown us none. The Dem party has decided to fight back and now you claim deviciveness. You hate Dems so it is OK for Senators to call Clinton a Scum Bag but you cry like a baby when the left does the same thing.
Like I said before. I would like to get rid of the whole group and start fresh. But I will not unilaterally disarm. You hit me and I'll hit right back. Until you tell your people to back down I have no reason to do the same. I tried when Bush took office and was called unamerican in return because I did not blindly back what the administration was doing. The gloves are off and we will finish what you started. |

You must have missed the Senate and Congress of his administration. If you can't admit that there were numerous attacks by your party than hypocracy is your middle name. |

Quote: | Burton Draws Fire For Clinton '*******' Remark
WASHINGTON (April 22) -- The chairman of the House committee investigating alleged Democratic fund-raising abuses is under fire for what his staff says was just "straight talk."
Last week Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.) described President Bill Clinton as a "*******" during a session with the editorial board of the Indianapolis Star.
The Indiana Republican isn't backing off his use of the word, but promises a full explanation at his Government and Oversight Committee hearing tomorrow.
From Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the panel, criticized Burton for the remark.
"I think that's a vile comment for a congressman to make. Here you have the man who is the chairman of committee that's doing the investigation on campaign finance and other abuses. And he's out to get the president. He's pretty much indicated he's on a vendetta," Waxman said.
When asked about Burton's "*******" comment, the president took the above-it-all approach. Clinton smiled and said he hopes the congressman will vote for campaign finance reform. |

Yes, when pushed beyond endurance,I would settle it with a punch in the mouth. You can call it violence if you want, but it never fails to stop a bully. I STILL say Kerry is the absolute worst! HE IS A TRAITOR! His lying tongue got good, decent vets TORTURED,and STARVED, while the VC played Kerry's lies to them...from a cassette tape.
He and his lapdogs are getting our troops tortured, and beheaded today, and the animals doing it, parrot their words.
Speaking of violence,I'm not one bit ashamed to say I hope much worse than a punch in the mouth happens to every one of these BAST---S. |

This makes no sense. I have said tghat there is no highground and wish we could start fresh. If there is a lack of intelectual honesty it is on your part. Attack Dems and all is A,OK but God forbid it should go both ways. |

You're all too serious mikest! Maybe you should go back to supporting Mao and Uncle Joe. Plus you miss the point entirely.
This hatefest was called the "heart and soul of American Values" by Kerry, who refuses to release the video....why? Because, properly deployed, it will cost him 5-7 points in the polls and maybe every swing state in the midwest.
and another thing:
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT TODAY
ABC's "This Week," 7/11/04
SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM (R-SC): "The label game is a result of how you behave. Call me a conservative."
ABC'S GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: "You're a conservative."
GRAHAM: "Thank you very much. I am. I'm proud of it. I vote that way. John Edwards is the fourth most liberal member of the Senate. John Kerry is -- who is liberal? Is there anybody in the Senate who will admit to being liberal. There's nothing wrong with being an American liberal. I want the tape from New York. I want to see the standing ovation they got in New York when Hollywood ˆ"
STEPHANOPOULOS: "Now what are you talking about there? Explain the story for our viewers."
GRAHAM: "I'm talking about the hate fest in New York where people who don't mind being called liberal got up and ran President Bush into the ground and applauded these two gentlemen. I want that tape. And let's see people in Louisiana and South Carolina. Let's hear what was said in New York and let's look at the reactions of Edwards and Kerry and let's see if these people really are liberal or they've got values based on the crowd in front of them." _________________

I guess I need to go back to a earlier point and also let the idiotic "support mao" slide.
It is your party that is afraid to show its leaders at the convention. Arnold instead of Rick, "Man on Dog," Santorum as a speaker is a great example. If you think you have the winnin team for America you should show them. |
