I heard on NBC that the so called "youth vote" the Dems trumped up and MTV sought to influence with ads they touted as bipartisan when they were anything but...that youth vote consituted 17% of all votes cast yesterday and IS THE VERY SAME PERECENTAGE THE "YOUTH" CAST IN 2000! Twisted Evil

that is correct. the percentage is the same. however, that menas that more young people did come out to vote. now that we know that the turnout for this election was very high (60%), that menas thateven though the percentage was the same, the number was more. but everyone played the get out the vote game well this year.

Heard something interesting tonight. A newsman was saying that when the voting age was changed to 18, everyone thought it would make a difference in the next election. Everyone was shocked that it didn't and he knew it wouldn't again.

Personally, I think this may be one of God's ways of protecting us. For the most part, only the ones who are mature enough to get informed before voting are the ones who vote.

USAF66-70 “Then why did Clinton get in twice?”

Because Ross Peroit split the conservitive vote.

Clinton got only 39% of the vote 1992 but that was enough to win.
