The consensus in the dicussion was that no doubt Kerry made a mistake by using his Vietnam service as a campaign issue. The Democrat consultant was is denial, however.
In his comments, Buchanan noted that most americans have come to realize that the Vietnam war was a noble cause and that those vets deserved the same consideration as vets in any war(others, sans the democrat, agreed). He also raised the point that he believed that many liberal dems detest the military but, played along with the "Support Our Troops" thing because they and the DNC were aware of americans support for Vietvets and for that matter Iraqi veterans as well. (great exchange !)
It appears that Kerry didn't think a lot of people would take his post Vietnam stance seriously. Well____! Laughing

Who was that woman with all her talk of holocaust & genocide with regards to the activities of our soldiers in Nam? That she had "interviewed" soldiers who told her about it? How many, who, when, where are the documents? I've had it with these dems -- produce the evidence of this allegation, NOW - all the evidence, every single last shred of it .... Evil or Very Mad ... Just singing the same old Communist Party-VVAW-wintersoldier investigation-kerry song.. (their flyers included that they were protesting "the American policy of genocide" in Nam -- stupid propaganda, just swallowed whole by the Left, I suppose because it appeals to them; now I suppose it's the policy of genocide in Iraq....) -- glad to hear she was not allowed to get away with that garbage on the show -- but not glad to hear it even being said. They still believe it - and as Pat said, they just pay lipservice to the concept of "support our troops" because they have to. Thank goodness he got that out and bedamned the PC.

Marshall is an actress who is now a radio talk show host.
On the positive side, Leslie Marshall is probably the most
attractive democrat pundit around, that is if you have a loose
definition of 'pundit' (ie, she plays one on T.V.) .

If only someone like Mark Twain were still alive, he could then teach
Marshall the difference between lightening and a lightening bug.

I thought Joe's last words were the perfect retort:
"there was a holocaust in Cambodia,
but you never heard the protesters talk about that." Right on, Joe! Wink

Thanks Sround, I had missed this also because I don't watch cnbc much after all the hardball crap. I should still watch Joe S. though. Great panel they tore the dem up. Imagine her talking about Nam when she was not even born yet.

Thanks so much for posting. Missed it first time around. Lots of interesting points--all of which might have made even a bigger difference if reported BEFORE the election. And many still not made (two false purple hearts, administrative problems with the SS, and the whole Bronze Star incident). Still a step in the right direction if history's going to be corrected. (Especially liked Pat's rejoinder about "genocide.")

You mean MSNBC not CNBC...yup, I feel the same way. Joe is worth
watching, but Chrissy pants I can't stand. Then there's IMOUTH in the
Morning. Talk about all hat and no intellect. Imus is pathetic. I'd
rather watch a cow pat dry...Imus(t) change the channel!

Anywho, CNBC does have Dennis Miller. He's quite good, and he always
makes me laugh. Wink

Here's my dream line-up on FOX:
Joe (not BOR) then H&C then Dennis Miller (not Greta Van Dufus)...that would cool.

I must say, this was awesome to listen to. Now that the tension of the election is over, I can tolerate the remaining communists and leftists spinners a little better. During the election, they scared me to death. Some people have been soo easy to fool in the past. Its good to live in a red formerly blue area. Very Happy Thanks for the great posts.
