According to the reports the Canadian Government might seek snap elections to mitigate a growing scandal among the Liberal ranks.
One US Blog Captain's Quarters has carried the story for about a week and the Canadian Government is making threats (Oh My!). This story stinks worse than a Canook Fur Trapper in May.
Go here for the details:

Watch out those desperate Canadians they might start a snowball war or something more sinister. Didn't Congress fund the Anti Snowball Missile Defense System?

Within 10 years the western provinces will secede and promptly ask to be annexed by the USA. This will piss off old europe to no end and give a bright future to many of our northern friends. It will also show the rest of the world how great America is as opposed to the EU and their attempt to create a nation through the courts. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

The western provinces have long been upset with Ottawa, with the possible exception of British Columbia. Should Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan leave Canada, British Columbia may have no choice but to follow. That would give Quebec all the excuse it need to leave as well as an independent country. That then forces the eastern provinces to folllow the western ones to the US. _________________ People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

I’ve noted in checking around Canadian newspapers that some links to this story are down – this ought to be an interesting battle:
Quote: | "Canadian blogger(s) to be charged,” Stephen Taylor, Conservative Party of Canada – 4/4/05
Adscam spokesman Francois Perreault has made a statement: "Anyone who takes that information (from the American blog) and diffuses it is liable to be charged with contempt of court ... Anybody who reproduces it is at risk"
I've been fairly careful not to 'diffuse' this information but to report on events outside of the secret testimony. I have read the secret testimony and perhaps it has influenced my opinion (as it should hopefully influence most voters) but I've never directly linked the American blog that shall not be named. Looks like our friend over at the Canadian version of the Drudge Report that also shall not be named will be charged with contempt-of-court today. I can't even name this all-news Canadian website (although it seems to be down right now).
There are certain words of anger and of shock concerning this recent development that I will not attempt to convey at this time. This is a sad day for personal civil liberties in Canada. I never understood this publication ban concerning its relevance to blogs. I doubt that it would be impossible to interview potential jurors and filter them based on their knowledge of even the existence of blogs. |

I don't get it. Does Canada not have a bill of rights very similar to our own that protects free speech?
Is this true? That people are being arrested for merely mentioning the name of a site that publishes news that the Canadian government does not want their citizens to read? _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

The publication ban has been lifted:
Quote: | April 07, 2005
"A Big Thank You To My Friends In Canada," Captain Ed
Now that the publication ban has been lifted, at least from the Brault testimony (more on that in a moment), the Canadian media have taken over the role of presenting the information that should have been available to Canadians all along. ... CONTINUED |

One of the most wonderful politicians in Canada is a guy by the name of Ralph Klein, Alberta premier. Of course, he would never get anywhere in the country as a whole, but man does he know how to balance a budget and not put up with any liberal crapola. |

After the USA defeats Canada in half a day, we should divide up the country as the spoils of war. So the Euros won't feel left out we will give them Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec. Eh, we can't understand them anyway and the French could feel important again since they have lost everything else they had offshore. Besides changing all those bi-lingual signs is expensive.
