I do not know how I missed this. Tuesday was 6-14-05 Flag Day it was also our 25th year wedding anniversary. So on Flag Day Senator Durbin finds it within himself to beat up on Our Troop’s aid and comfort the enemy by dragging the United States of America through the mud. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

No 72 virgins for Bin-Durbin. Just one 72 year old virgin!

The new media was on the story on the 15th and of course MSM was late getting to the party and the first to leave. A week from now the whole thing will be a faded memory. But every Flag day I will remember the Durbin words of 2005. And I will be sure to refresh the memories of anyone who will listen how that on Flag Day Durbin drug the honor of our troops and the good name of the United States of America thru the mud for his own selfish political gain without a single chastisement from the democratic leadership.
To bad we didn't make it a point to re visit the 6-6-71 Kerry words every year. If we had perhaps their wouldn't have ever been a candidate Kerry. Hine site is 20-20. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

Well Dick Durbin got exactly what he asked for; Name Recognition. Can you honestly say that you knew who this Dick was before this story broke?
Dick got an idea in his Head that he needed to do something drastic since the other Senator from IL was garnering all the press. Dick decided to spend his Wad of political capital by pandering to the far political left of his party.

And did he think the 900,000 Veterans in IL would just role over for him as he trashed Troops & Country. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

Sen. bin Durbin should consider this. Had he said this under one of the regimes he cited he would have:
1. Disappeared without a trace.
2. Served in forced labor till he died or was released for some reason.
3. Tortured in unspeakable manners until dead or Shot dead on the site and left to be disposed of by the survivors.
or in Saddam's Iraq, Uday's thugs would have tied him to a pole in the public square and cut his tongue out.
Hey, Sen. Re-Dick-ulous bin Durbin, you disgust me. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Our local fish wrapper, The Huntsville Times, is a totally rabid left wing rag which constantly prints everything negative about our President and all Republicans. The front page, right column, above-the-fold article every day is the body count from Iraq.
I began reading the thing carefully cover-to-cover beginning the day Durbin made his Nazi/Gulag/Pol Pot speech. There was not one word in that paper about the speech until today, one week later, which told of the "apology".
Unfortunately, there is no other paper in Huntsville, so radio, TV and the 'net are our only sources of balanced news. The Times' readership includes thousands of GI's on Redstone Arsenal, from which C5A's depart almost daily for the Middle East, full of the latest weaponry. Since the paper could not bring itself to applaud Durbin's remarks, which they were aching to do, they remained silent.
Wouldn't someone like to start a readable paper here? Please.
