The steel pole is 338 feet high - more than the length of a football field.
The length of the flag could be stretched across the width of a football field.
The base of the pole is 6 feet in diameter.
The flagpole weighs 65 tons - without the flag!
The pole is sunk into a 550-ton block of concrete that is 40 feet deep and 8 feet wide, and is reinforced with countless steel rods.
The flag is 120 feet by 60 feet, or 7200 square feet and weighs 300 pounds. Each star is 3 feet high and each stripe is 4 ½ feet wide.
Please send me a PM if you will be there tommorow. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.
