Can we get at least a 99.9% approval rating on this site for the Bolton appointment?

3N. you have made a very fair poll. Yep, you have potential, but the MSM may disagree. Kudos. GMS _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

Sorry, I am the lone agree for the most part, voter. I don't know as much about hima s I would like, but from what I've seen, I feel he will do what is needed, short of bombing the UN
Seriously, we all kinow the UN is about as useless as anything ever. The idea may have been a good one, but in actual practice, they are as corrupt as they come.
Regardless, I feel he will do what is needed. However, I feel Congress, both aisles, will be fighting him every step of the way, simply because they feel slighted.
Time will tell. (and if not Time, Newsweak ) _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Lew, I absolutely agree - and I honestly don't know a thing about what he will or won't do, so I probably should have worded the poll differently.
My only point is that I'm glad our president had the brass to appoint him. Screw the obstructionists.
And if they haven't given Roberts an up or down by the Christmas recess, guess what?

We might need to all get together and start a fund to get our Pres. a new screwdriver. Sounds like he's gonna need it.

It really doesn't matter what you or I think about the appointment. When our elected representatives were removed from the process, we lost that opportunity to have a say in the matter.
The President simply exercised his Constitutional perogative to make recess appointments. It is not the first time in our history it was used and certainly it won't be the last.

MSM keeps telling us "Bolton is a lame duck because he does not have the support of the senate". What a dishonest statement, considering no one knows the level of senate support since their never was a vote. If the obstructing politicians were so certain that Bolton would not have the support of the senate they would have allowed an up or down vote to be taken.

Undoubtedly he would have been confirmed had he been afforded a Senate vote. However, don't underestimate the allegiance to the power of the Senate that those 100 super-egos possess. It's strong enough (and self-serving enough) for them to circle the wagons in a (cough cough) true spirit of bi-partisanship. |

Ok, I am either blind or stupid. Where do I vote? I see the results at the top of the board but nothing to click on.
