Just heard Mr. Brown has resigned from FEMA.
Sad that a good man got run over by Bush-bashing hysteria.
Glad that now he can talk. |

I think he was a good man. He did a great job with the storms in Fla. last year and I believe he did everything right on this one.
I sure hope he gets asked to make some comments. I don't look for the MSM to have him on though. I guess it's up to FoxNews.

Think: Last year when Florida had four Hurricanes in under seven weeks, no one gripped about FEMA or its response time. So, what's the difference? Its the same FEMA, the same leadership, the same needs...? |

State and local leadership? Duh.
But you have to be extremely bright almost to the genius level to understand these things.

President Bush is the most loyal person to those who are true to him. Obviously, Mike Brown did lie on his application which caused the President to suffer politically and justified his forced resignation. If he would not have lied on his application, his resignation would not have been asked for. Then again, he would not have gotten the job either which is why he should resign. The President can't stand behind a man that used lies to get such an important job.

Interesting, isn't it, how sKerry's resume didn't seem to matter, and the TIMES certainly didn't investigate it?
And for the record, Brown's appointment was confirmed by the Senate (which in 2003, was still a Democrat-controlled one), wasn't it? |

I certainly hope that Brown is carefully preserving all the phone logs and other records pertaining to Katrina up to the point of his departure. In the inevitable congressional investigation, he will obviously will be a witness before the gasbags.
He should be able to contribute to an authentic timeline of events which should reveal the true culpability of Governor Blank-o and the rest of the Louisiana government.
