New Orleans faces runoff vote
Mayor Nagin, Lt. Gov. Landrieu to square off on May 20
New Orleans can't seem to catch a break now can it? _________________ "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I’m here to help." Ronald Reagan |

That Nagin gathered the majority of votes just amazes me. After his poor performance and whining about every one else's failures while ignoring his own, I figured he was about out of town on a rail.
New Orleans saw what to expect during bad times. If they get hit again and with either of these in office, I, for one, don't want to hear about their 'suffering.' |

IMHO, it's all explainable if you can accept two premises: 1) the people of LA, and particularly NO, are thoroughly indoctrinated in the Nanny State mentality; and 2) the electorate there values, even esteems, a politician for his/her ability to extort funding from the Federal government. Or in other words, it's all about value systems. |

I was born and raised and spent the fist half of my life in La.
If you are looking for a place to qualify as the most corrupt and likely to have leaders chosen by voter fraud.....La. would be the place most likely to succeed.
I can't believe they want that clown back. From now on, what they get....they deserve.
