If this is true, these people intend to use our
fallen warriors to once again shame our nation and
troops at war. Vietnam Veterans had to raise the money
to have this memorial and to get it built was
something akin to birthing a thousand pound child.
When these people use our sacred memorial and
the gallant warriors whose names are on it,they tread
on ground bought with blood. They also perpetuate the
myth we were all unwilling participants in our war and
claim we are all in tacit agreement with them. This is
a lie and it cannot stand in the bright sun of freedom
this time.
I ask all who can be there, especially vets on
motorcycles to ride forth and protect our sacred
ground.God Bless all of you and our troops taking the
fight to our enemies.

We are not going to allow this to happen if we have to stand 20 deep around
the WALL.
This letter will be going all over the Internet...to all the major Veteran
groups...please spread this far and wide.
This was posted on another group. In case you think it's of little
importance, they are formimg up at THE WALL! In case you think these are a
bunch of loonies with nothing better to do on St. Patrick\'s Day, think
again. Here is a link to the groups involved (They are NOT the Boy Scouts)
and to their website. Be sure to check out the t-shirts they are selling,
especially the Che Guevera one.
It is my opinion that it is time to plan a St. Patricks Day Road Trip, and
Lock & Load, at least in the verbal sense and protect a very Sacred and
Special Place. I am not saying we should express any opinion on the war,
that is for each of us to decide.
What I am saying is how many of us want Jane Fonda, Cindy Sheehan, FMLN
(Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front) USA, Vietnam Veterans Against
the War Anti-Imperialist, Welfare Warriors, All India Anti-imperialist
Forum, Muslim Student Association West, Berkeley Fellowship UU\'s Social
Justice, Gay Liberation Network - Chicago; B. Ross Ashley co-founder Union
of American Exiles-1968* Toronto, and hundreds of other far left, Anti
American Organizations to use The Wall as a focal point for their own
Private Agendas?
Yes, we all served to protect their Freedom of Speech, but if their
oblivious use of this Sacred Ground to garner more Media Coverage goes
un-challenged, surely the Spirits of our Dead Brothers and Sisters on The
Wall will cry out in pain.

March 17 -- March on Pentagon!: Time to Turn Up the Heat!
~ 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 march on the Pentagon ~
~ 4th anniversary of the start of the Iraq war ~
On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion
of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on
the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007
is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon
during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was \"From Protest to
Resistance,\" and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide
mass movement.
In the coming days and weeks, thousands of organizations and individuals
will begin mobilizing for the upcoming March on the Pentagon. Organizing
committees and transportation centers are being established to bring people
to the March on the Pentagon.
The March 17 demonstration will assemble at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial
(Constitution Gardens) at 12 noon in Washington, D.C.and march to the
Pentagon.
We can not allow this to happen!

I'm praying so many vets will show up that the anti-war nutjobs can't get close enough to The Wall to even see it.

We got this today from a fellow Swift Mate
Honor The Departed Fight like HELL for the living
Subject: More Info
I just recieved the following from Ironman0311@aol.com
Veterans, family and friends;
In response to the concerns expressed, I contacted Robin Owen (Person in charge of issuing event permits for the National Mall area) of the National park Service via telephone this morning and was very convincingly informed and assured of the following:
1.
There will be a 300 yard perimeter comprised of double snow fence barriers with an ample number mounted, foot police, riot reaction squad nearby, and intelligence personal on scene, to ensure that the conditions of the permit granted to the antiwar activists are not violated. E.G. the assembly point is in an appointed area on the eastern end of the grounds (Knoll) and they will not be allowed in the proximity of the wall. A Similar exclusion zone applies area and approaches from Constitution Ave. So net effect ... no protesters within 300 yd's.
2.
That ALL laws will be vigorously enforced and prosecuted in terms of any violence, vandalism,or, threat to public safety. This was stated emphatically.
3.
About an hour later, I received a phone call from Sgt, Booker of the Park Police saying he had been asked by Robin Owen to reiterate the policy and to reinforce her statements to me and answer any further questions I may have on the Park Police law enforcement polices.
Sgt. Booker stated even MORE emphatically that the Park Police consider the Wall as sacred ground, as we do, (As did Robin Owen) themselves, and that they WILL enforce any, and all laws, relevant to it's integrity. And, any concerns we may have stemming from the non-enforcement of the law by the Capitol Police last weekend are not relevant to his Dept. They WILL arrest and prosecuted anyone who breaks the law.
4. The Wall will be open for visiting to the general public as usual ... if any of you care to do so on that day.
Semper Fi

Fellow Swift Mates, myself and other Vets plan a trip back to DC to make sure the Wall is perserved and protected. I would wish that any of you close to DC make the effort to insure the Wall is never attacked in any manner. Those men and women have nothing to do with today, they have already given their all. So, if you live near by, come and join us to protect their Honor and Sacrifice. _________________ Terry Boone PCF 90

Thanks a lot for posting this mt. I feel a lot better. I have been trying to figure out how to do the impossible and make a trip to D.C.
I still hope the memorial has an extraordinary amount of truly reverent visitors on that day.

The Pentagon? As the "Pentagon" serves to implement the policy decisions of our ELECTED government, undoubtedly their intent is to demonstrate the depth of their devotion and concern for "the troops." |

They asked for a permit to levitate the Pentagon 300 feet off the ground, explaining that by chanting ancient Aramaic exorcism rites while standing in a circle around the building, they could get it to rise into the air, turn orange and vibrate until all evil emissions had fled. The war would end forthwith. The administrator graciously gave his permission for them to raise the building a maximum of 10 feet

I'll be going to "visit" the Memorial on 3/17. I live in Cincinnati area, taking I70 east to where I pick up I270. Will stop at Rockville, MD and take the Metro line in. Anyone along that corridor wanting a ride. Contact me. _________________ "It is never right to do wrong, even if sanctioned by law" Abe Lincoln

This topic has been posted on The Patriot Guard Riders Forum and many of them are planning on "visiting the Wall" that day also. Bring your American flags. |

'Gathering of Eagles'
to protect Vietnam Veterans Wall
By C.J. Raven
U.S. Veteran Dispatch
February 07, 2007
Bailey and thousands of his fellow Vietnam vets are worried
that the anti-war protesters will damage the wall, just as
they spray-painted the steps of the Capitol at their last
march.
The wall is sacred to the men and women who fought in that war.
"It is our contact with our dead brothers -- those who lost their lives
in the cause of their country," Bailey said.
And so it is that Washington will see a Gathering of Eagles also...
Families, friends and veterans of other wars, including Iraq, and
soldiers still on active duty, will be there to defend the Wall.
also see:
http://euphoricreality.com/2007/02/08/to-protect-the-vietnam-
wall/
These are good suggestions for the rally at Washington DC
1. Bring cameras. Have them very visible. It helps to have
evidence that we are not misbehaving and to have them ready
to capture any assaults on us by those spitting loons. If you
are with a small group, it is wise for one to be designated
to keep a camera rolling at all times. (It doesn't even require film to
be effective at keeping loons from punching you in the nose.)
2. Keep your bags/knapsacks/purses/whatever to a minimum at the Wall.
Everybody may need some extra water, ID, a copy of your DD214 (reduced
and laminated) to pull out if you want to. Point being here to keep your
hands free if at all possible.
3. Make friends with somebody as soon as you get there, if you aren't
bringing one with you. It helps to have someone you trust watching your
back, and whose judgment you will understand if he/she suggests that you
back off/stop what you are yelling/quit beating that loon in the head.
Any and all other suggestions welcome here. Others who have "worked the
streets" against these clowns, please add your "rules of engagement"
here for the consideration of all.
ALSO
Holiday Inn Arlington has set up a block of 100 rooms for $89 a night
for Friday-Saturday-Sunday.
Go to http://www.hiarlington.com and ask for their "Gathering of Eagles"
group rate. _________________ Terry Boone PCF 90

I've been to Washington for 3 Pro-Life marches. All 3 times the word went out to not get duped into a fight because there will be pro-aborts with video cameras off to the side or in buildings with studio level cameras trying to get video to turnover to MSM for propaganda about the “violent” pro-lifers. With 200,000 – 300,000 marching I only heard of the potential provocation.
At the Kerry-Lied Rally in Washington, I saw this tactic at work. Some guy in fatigues was trying to provoke a group of 7th Cav guys into a fight. What tipped me off was when the jerk said they didn’t have the testicles to punch him. Then started yelling Vietnamese at them. I starting yelling at the 7th Cav guys that there was someone around with a camera and he was only looking for film as I stated above. A naturalized Vietnamese-American reported the guy was speaking gibberish not Vietnamese. The jerk realized the show was over. I followed him and kept an eye on the crowd, sure enough he met up with a guy in a KERRY LIED t-shirt carrying a manila folder. I never saw the camera but I’m confident there was one running inside the folder.
My suggestion is to ensure you know where the Park police are at, maybe even station someone with them and report via cell phone when they start towards the Wall. Then use yourselves in a blocking move until the Park police arrive.
Hopefully the Park police will be pro-active and place themselves between the anti-freedom loonies and the Wall.
Again, I'll be "visiting" the Memorial on 3/17. I live in Cincinnati area, taking I70 east to where I pick up I270. Will stop at Rockville, MD and take the Metro line in. Anyone along that corridor wanting a ride. I’ve already got 1or2 people, a full vehicle would be nice. Contact me. _________________ "It is never right to do wrong, even if sanctioned by law" Abe Lincoln

I only hope what they are saying is true and they respect the Wall. From their own site (no link provided)
Quote: | Tens of thousands of people will be gathering at Constitution Gardens near the Vietnam Memorial prior to the March on the Pentagon on Saturday, March 17. This is not the Vietnam Memorial itself. Constitution Gardens is the same location that ANSWER used for its mass anti-war rally on October 26, 2002. On March 17, 2007 we will leave Constitution Gardens and march on Constitution Ave. and then to Virginia on the way to the Pentagon. We will not be in the Vietnam Memorial and all speakers for amplified sound are turned away from the Memorial so as not to interfere with family members visiting the site. |
However, I think you all know how much I trust their "intent."
Cindy Sheehan has now come out ranting against Gathering of Eagles in her usual fashion. Since my comments on my blog contain links to unsavory sites, I will link it here if any wish to read;

Lew;
I saw this post late last night & sent email to someone whom is very much in the know about Gen Giap, et al concerning comments on the 1968 TET Offensive. When I get the response, I will pass it on via email for you to read & post as appropriate here & on your blog.
