This is just a heads-up for those of you who might be running the rather widely acclaimed Spybot S&D anti-spyware program (which is FREE by the way). They've recently updated the program (which is not often) to version 1.5.
You can download the new program here. |

Thanks,
I was running Live by windows, yet removed because of conflicts with my VPN. Going to check this out. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

Another excellent free for Home Users antispy program is called Superantispy.
Highly recommended by me and a lot of other computer techs.

It's really a good idea to run more than one antispy program. You only want to have one antivirus program installed on your computer but the antispy programs are a whole different animal.
I always install three of them on my customer's computers.
Spybot S&D, AVG free antispy and Superantispy.
You can run a scan with one then the other of these three and they will all find something different that the others missed.
I must say that the Superantispy leaves very little behind however.

I'll have to try that superantispy one....
I have a few spyware ones on already - I have Norton and can't seem to get it off tho - hate that one.
I've found the same thing - I run one, then the other and find more stuff! _________________ Stevie

A good program to use to uninstall programs and really get rid of them and all their traces is 'Your Uninstaller 2006'.
You can use if for free but are limited to removing only two programs and then you have to close the Uninstaller and reopen it to remove two more. Not a big deal.
Once the Microsoft Uninstaller runs it will say your system needs to be rebooted. Say no. Then the Your Uninstaller program will remove all traces of the program you want off. Then you can reboot.

There are several other good features in this software also.
