In Burning the midnight oil: The Sellout Amendment is here, Michelle Malkin links to Rob Nepell's indexed and searchable database of the proposed spending bill.
While digesting and critiqueing this massive bill is not my particular forté, I take some comfort in the knowledge that this herculean effort was, at least, compiled by Mr. Nepell and that, hopefully, there are legions of collective "someones" who will be examining this monstrosity of a bill to a fair-thee-well. |

Hopefully, some Republicans will discover that bumpy thing running up and down their backs and block this monstrosity until it can be read and studied and voted down!
Rapidly pushing legislation through is never a good idea and often hides what they don't want us to see.
Americans wanted change and we got it, the loose change in our pockets.
Socialism is here, my friends, stronger than it has ever been. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

What I am afraid of is that there are also some republicans (RINOs?) in Washington who are drooling at the mouth as much as the democrats at the thought of all that power being centralised in D.C.
Its here and I doubt that short of another revolution it can be reversed.
That said, there does seem to be a small seed of rebellion abudding.
I'm not a big believer of World Net Daily, due to its right wing ideology, but OTOH, I've never caught them in an outright lie, either, so take it as you will.

Lawmakers in 20 states move to reclaim sovereignty
By Jerome R. Corsi
© 2009 WorldNetDaily
NEW YORK – As the Obama administration attempts to push through Congress a nearly $1 trillion deficit spending plan that is weighted heavily toward advancing typically Democratic-supported social welfare programs, a rebellion against the growing dominance of federal control is beginning to spread at the state level.
So far, eight states have introduced resolutions declaring state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendment to the Constitution, including Arizona, Hawaii, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Washington.
Analysts expect that in addition, another 20 states may see similar measures introduced this year, including Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Nevada, Maine and Pennsylvania.
"What we are trying to do is to get the U.S. Congress out of the state's business," Oklahoma Republican state Sen. Randy Brogdon told WND. |
