From the Hill: Kerry: Kerry: No vote on Sea Treaty before election

From the article,
Quote:
"Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said some lawmakers 'on and off the committee' have candidly told him they'd “be more comfortable” if they could avoid having to cast the controversial vote during the campaign season."

<<>>

“I would like to see this treaty stay out of the hurly-burly of presidential politics,” Kerry said. “So heeding that advice, and preferring that we encourage the kind of evaluative and educational process which does justice to this committee and justice to the United States Senate ratification process, I announce today that I do not currently intend to bring the treaty to a vote before the November election.”

Leave it to sKerry to work to hide something from public view until after the election. There is absolutely no rational reason to hold off on this until after the election other than the desire for politicians to hide their position and vote until after they are reelected. Obviously, they realize their position is the wrong one the public wishes them to take and their desire to wait shows they no longer represent constituents, but Internationalists from the U.N. working to destroy our sovereignty. If any do not take a stand publicly now, they, along with this ill conceived treaty needs to be shown the door.

I suppose we should expect nothing less from his fraudulency.

I'm trying to locate a quote of his from some time ago where I believe he advocated for ceding control of our military to the UN or something like that.

Any quotes/link in that regard appreciated.

I find Newsmax reported that in 2004.

Kerry Wanted U.N. to Control U.S. Troops

The Crimson did too: The Crimson reported Kerry called for U.N. control of troops in 1970

Looked deeper in my files and found the 1970 Crimson article, John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress

From the article,
Quote:
"He supports a volunteer Army, "if and only if we can create the controls for it. You're going to have to prepare for the possibility of a national emergency, however." Kerry said that the United Nations should have control over most of our foreign military operations. "I'm an internationalist. I'd like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations."

On other issues, Kerry wants "to almost eliminate CIA activity. The CIA is fighting its own war in Laos and nobody seems to care." He also favors a negative income tax and keeping unemployment at a very low level, "even if it means selective economic controls."

Ahhhhhh, the UN! Probably the most ineffective, corrupt, organization ever, and high on the list of parasites draining our tax dollars. Other than that, I don't have anything against them..............

President Robert Mugabe has been appointed a UN "leader for tourism", despite being subject to a travel ban.
