A "non-partisan" web site (if there is one now a days) takes a look at the spin of Kerry, Bush, and other politicians and tries to clear it out. They mention the Swift Vets, and a rep was on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night.

Brought up by the site, was the fact that apparently John Kerry registered for the Swift boats before the job became as dangerous as it was. My question, was there ever a time in the war when swift boats were 'safer' than other naval duties? I would imagine being on the really big boats off shore would be a sure fire way to stay safe, but its probably tougher to win medals there...
