Let`s give them credit. Gordan Liddy was sentenced to 20 yrs. in prison and a $40,000 fine for a two-bit political panty raid while Sandy Berger will go scott free for stealing classfied documents from the National Archives. Contrast Trent Lott`s treatment when compared to Chris Dodd`s. Remarkably, they can always recruit some beltway conservatives in their double standard hypocrisy. John McCain believes John Kerry served honorably in Vietnam while the swiftees are " dishonest and dishonorable. When they can`t defend Kerry on the merits they invoke those two words. Now, there is a massive coverup in news Dept.s to kill this swift boat story and except for a few snippets here and there the Fox News Channel is joining them. With all the juicy murder mystery and sex stuff they are just to busy to cover the most important story of the year. |

Jack, you dead on. But I don't think it's because they are so smart as they are so dishonest.
In America it's one person one vote. The people liberals generally represent want more than what they have rightfully earned. In a zero sum game that means they must take from others who have earned it. The liberal leadership knows this. They do whatever it takes to keep that vote and hence that power. Where they are smart is that they have focused on controlling the information machine via television, newspaper and entertainment. When you look at history you can see how powerful that control is. Communism, terrorism, etc. Too many conservatives do not understand how important this is. Reagan knew. We better learn to know. _________________ The war against terrorism is not that Americans might die rather that we would alter our way of living. If we get to a point where we choose not to go out because of fear, our economy will sink and in the end so will our nation. Vote Bush. |

And according to Chris Matthews, if you are a Republican or you take money from a Republican, you have no right to a voice and are automatically dismissed. |

It has more to do with the fact that the right is held to a higher standard then the left. It is purely the conservatives position of high principles, integrity, honesty, moral absolutes that leads them down the path of certain self-destruction any time they make a mistake. Which is ok, I believe it was Aristotle who said it is healthy for a society to have leaders who from time to time are hypocrites because it reaffirms human fallibility, but be very worried of the leaders who will stand on no moral ground and use hypocrisy against the other as it fits their need. Eventually the ignorant masses will wake up and realize this and see how morally bankrupt the left is. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

The fact that we're here proves that we're learning...and that not all liberals are dishonest. Some of them have been posting here!
The Internet, especially bloggers, is blowing the information control system you described right out of the water. It has just begun.
Fox News is covering this because it just won't go away - and it won't go away because of this site and the bloggers who are reporting the facts of the case.
So keep reading, researching, posting and telling people you know about these sites. _________________ Bye bye, Boston Straggler! |

The point I was trying to make in the post above was that I am personally tired of self righteous, pontificating conservatives who think it is o.k. to offer up a sacrificial lamb now and then to prove we are better than they are. That`s called capitulation. When you see the tactics they will employ to denigrate and discredit ONeill and Hoffman you will better understand my concerns and frustrations. When the liberals pick a fight, too many times we show up with the white flag of surrender and instead of our billy clubs. This time let`s not be nice so when they go after our two courageous leaders. |

Indeed! Early reactions to SwiftVets at forum on johnkerry.com seems to be: Let’s just shut all these people up! Hurry up, we’ve got to “debunk” these voices!!!
“7/30/04:
I wish the Kerry campaign would put a page on this website debunking the "Swiftboat Veterans" group. We need a page to be able to link to when answering posts on other forums. Something that included that O'Neill was a Nixon recruit; the glowing review one of them wrote about Kerry back then; that the group was formed by a GOP organizer, etc.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“7/31/04:
Alright, I went through a number of posts online here, and compiled some info on who the swift boat folks are, what they said (and put in writing) about John Kerry at the time, before they had political motivations, and sourced it.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“7/31/04:
thank you for that site! I have been hearing people talk about the swiftboat thing latley and am now able to prove them wrong on it.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And they had links to their “sourcing” which I did not include here and don’t need to -- because I hear this “proof” now as a response from Kerry supporters that I run into and can’t help sharing the daily news with (bite your tongue girl!) -- I get blind, stubborn, wide-eyed repeating of the data/soundbytes fed by the campaign. I just grin and say, “Well, is that actually true? I think you should do some more research on that.” And that drives them nuts. And so much anger. So indignant that anyone would question their position. If this is “left,” then I most certainly have to be right. [Though I mainly prefer to just simply be a reasoning being….]
Somehow, I am strengthened and comforted by their panic. The more they try to “protect” Kerry from the information coming out, the more I feel I am part of a wave that is “coming for Kerry” and will sweep over him and hopefully take him far out to sea! |
