Dont you think its odd that ALL, every single one, of Kerry's "claims" to be in Cambodia come AFTER the 1979 release of Apocalypse Now. In fact, the VERY first documented reference (at least that I am aware of) he makes of Cambodia is in a MOVIE review of Apocalypse Now.

In the movie, the crew aboard the boat find a dog. Curiously, Kerry describes having a dog aboard his PCF-94 in an interview http://www.humaneusa.org/2004_presidential/question/jkerry_2004.pdf

Interestingly in the movie, Lance, the surfer guy, takes a great liking to the dog. Isnt it true that Kerry enjoys surfing & windsurfing and such? Geez..is Kerry is so delusional that he is pulling stuff off movies to try to prove his "hero" status?!?!?

The dog story is bothering me -- a lot. The boat supposedly hit a mine and the dog was catapulted off the boat onto another boat.

How many incidents of Kerry's boat being affected by a mine are reported?

I don't have the book so I can't check, but it seems that a mine is mentioned only in the Rassman rescue story, and the second mine/Kerry's boat is mentioned only in some of the accounts.

If there is, in fact, only one mine incident, the dog story has to be entwined with the Rassmann rescue.

The dog story smells like a shaggy dog story to me, although I don't have definitive evidence.
