That is, if John Kerry gets elected. Think about it. A volunteer, combat service, (at his own proud recollection in 1984) urged his boat mates to write the CNO in Vietnam a caustic letter about Cambodia, redeployed to the U.S., separated from the Navy, protested the war...denigrated his own government...while in uniform...threw his ribbons (or medals?) over the fence of the Whitehouse, called his comrads rapists and murderers while they were still there. Then runs for president on his "war record"? You've got to be kidding.
And some things never change. In 2004, a candidate for president and U.S. Senator, accuses the commander-in-chief of lying, sides with the enemy, while the sons and daughters of his generation...the new comrads...still fight for his right to be anti-American. While he runs for president on his war record.
Duty, honor, country has a meaning John Kerry. He did his duty for four months. But he denigrated his country, has no honor. One of three is a failing grade. John Kerry is a disgrace. |

You've got a really good point, there.
Do you remember the military of the Jimmy Carter years? Because what we'd have if Kerry got elected would be much worse. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

He was one of the main reasons I decided to end my military career at 8 years instead of going on for 20 or more. Not to mention, his total amnesty for all Vietnam draft dodgers.
I can see Kerry decimating our military even more. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Don't forget the military of the Bill Clinton years. While not as demoralized during the Vietnam & Carter years, we still had to put up with budget cuts and politically correct BS (i.e. sensitivity training). I remember my squadron not being able to issue me cold-weather gear because they had to save $ for aircraft parts. We often had to cannibalize a part from a perfectly good aircraft in order to make a bad aircraft fly. Also, a lot of married military families couldn't get by on a military salary during the Clinton years. Some guys even had to moonlight part-time delivering pizzas in order to make ends meet. I decided to get out once I got married. I knew for a fact I couldn't support my wife, let alone kids, on a military salary. _________________ USAF:
