I suggest that people who do not want to recieve these emails click on the "Profile" link at the top of the page and where it says, "Always show my email address," click "No" and "Submit."

I'm sorry that you were targeted by a nasty kook.

That's why I and others DO NOT post our email addies here for that same reason. It's why I don't post my personal website. I know there are nasties like that person.

Use the Private Messaging system if you need to contact someone.
EJ posted something a while back that was very good concerning this issue.

If you can, forward it all to your ISP, file a complaint and see if they manage to track that person down. Most of the time it's fruitless. But who knows.

Well, this type of behavior is to be expected of those on the other side of the issue with Kerry.
Do not let it get to you, they are simply confused and are being misled by the immense machine Kerry has behind him right now.

Forward the e-mail, with full headers, to both your own ISP and the sender's--Such e-mails are not looked upon kindly by Service Providers and they will deal with her/him--

Thanks for the advice (Sorry Admin. I didn't realize about the email address) but I was upset to receive a direct hit from this person whom I do not know.
If anyone else gets this message we may be able to tell if this person is on our site mining our email addresses.

Typical liberals, cant argue with facts so they attack the messengers, and try and harass people. And they are supposedly the ones that are protecting our right to free speech. Opps I forgot, only when it agrees with them.

I do strongly suggest that everyone hide their email address. The forum's private messaging system is relatively reliable and if an objectionable message comes to your private message box, we can ban that user name for inappropriate use of the board.

There's not a lot we can do about people who email you if your email address is exposed.

Insults aren't taken very seriously by ISP's - but threats sometimes are, depending upon the degree.

Mostly, these people want to intimidate you and keep you from supporting Swifts. I don't know about you, but I have a choice response for THAT. Wink

I fixed it where my email address is hidden. This stuff is very upsetting and emotional enough. My ex-husband was a Swiftee and we aren't together today because of problems he couldn't get over after the war. That's why I support the SVFT so heartily. I really think we all needed the span of 35 years to gather ourselves back up and fight back against the war protestors who never had our best interest in heart.
