John Kerry cannot prove that he was even on a mission 2 Dec 1968.
There are no documents to support his claim of action at all!
It seems only the Swifties have to have proof.
Let's see Kerry "proof" that he was even THERE. |

Like you say drjohn "only Swifties need proof" thats written proof. Kerry only needs his 8-12 Band of Brothers to say its true and the MSM believe it. Hopefully the American people will see through this.

I believe he is using that movie with Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando as his proof.

Anyone know what happened to the log books for the swiftboats? It would be a simple matter to examine the boat logs. Does the navy have them in a warehouse somewhere? The log would be the most authoritative proof of where Kerry took his boat. |

I was thinking the same thing.
I picture a warehouse like at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where there are thousands of crates...

It was my understanding that Kerry did not get his own Swift Boat until the end of December and that he was "training" prior to that time. |

A few minutes of web searching and I find:
Logs from 1941 through 1973 are in the Modern Military Branch, National Archives, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park MD 20740-6001 [telephone (301) 837-3510]. These logs are open for research. Requests for research appointments, and inquiries concerning log information, should go to the National Archives office holding logs from the time period of interest.
The log for every boat Kerry was on should be there. It looks like a big effort to perform and it isn't exactly down the street from my house. Besides, with my luck, I'd get there and find that Kerry has them checked out (for safe keeping) and they won't be returned until after November. |
