What's up at Fox News?
Quote: | “By refusing to specifically condemn this smear, George W. Bush is insulting the military service not only of John Kerry but all veterans who have served this nation. President Bush could stop this smear right now. Yet he still refuses to heed" the call of Arizona Sen. John McCain, a Vietnam POW and Kerry supporter who has called the ads "garbage," Kerry campaign spokesman Chad Clanton said.

WebTalk,
That McCain comment is so old it is fossilized. McCain has specifically stated that he had no problems with inquiries about Kerry's position on POWs, his anti-war activities, or tossing his medals. In short, McCain is just fine with all our ads except the first. You heard a (desperate) Kerry talking point. _________________ -Polaris

Might as well get use to all of the 'points' expressed on the Kerry Rapid Response site being used.

I know, but that this verbage gets printed now makes me wonder what they're thinking.
Fair and Balanced you know.
I think McCain should retract his comment that SBVT ads are "dishonest and dishonorable". _________________ America voted for solid LEADERSHIP and gave "W" a mandate to carry on.

The kerry camp so desperately sticks to the McCain comment because it is all they have.
They are starting to look like a fish out of water. |

McCain still publicly disparages the "slurs" against Kerry's service in VN. He doesn't quite give in to the argument that the SwiftVets have every right to speak out on the record as they see it and blames the Federal Election Commission for allowing this to happen. He helped create this so-called debacle in pushing for his version of campaign finance reform. For now he's got to live with it.
I don't understand why the media thinks McCain is the only man in the country who has a right to speak about VN. He definitely served his country and paid a dear price, but they seem to forget he was only one of a great number of brave and honorable men who also paid the price. McCain is as self-serving as any other politician, and we are truly blessed that he did not beat out GW for the chance to serve as POTUS.
Go SwiftVets! |
